History & Milestones

• 2000 – DELOPT was incorporated as a Private Ltd Company (was named as Deepti Electronics & Electro-Optics Pvt Ltd).

• 2001 – Major projects in Electro-Optics viz a viz Laser Pointing system, Automatic test Equipment etc were undertaken. Initiated R&D on Algorithm development for video tracker application.
  

• 2002 – Video tracker card was introduced – The first Indian Non Defense Company to achieve this. On board computer was delivered for TORPEDO application. Indigenous substitutions for PCM telemetry data to acquire satellite images. Acquired high-end FPGA based technology.
  

• 2003 – Designed & Developed Gimbal System using 1 million gates FPGA for image processing.

• 2004 – Developed Multi channel high-speed data acquisition systems. High-speed VME ADC card developed for ALH(Indian Helicopter). Supplied Mil grade video tracker.

• 2005 – Completed 100 design projects. Developed, mil grade Up Front Control Panel for airborne system (LCA). Indigenous development of RF Modem for Navy communication network. Multi DSP – Multi processor data fusion card was developed

• 2006 – Over 1000 CPCI RF Modem cards were supplied for the Navy network. Developed world’s smallest Video Tracker. Diversified the R&D activities to Security & Surveillance products.

• 2007 – MoU with Singapore Technologies for distribution of DELOPT’s security & Surveillance products in South East Asia. Development of color UFCP for LCA Miniature high-speed RF Modem card was developed. Initiated the development of more products for Law enforcement & Parking Management The first Indian company to introduce a Traffic Management system into the Indian Market Establishment of an office in Santa Clara, USA.

• 2008 – Major expansion with more high-Tech products and design solutions. Cutting edge embedded Video analytics products poised to be released into the market.

Management Team

M R Sheshadri - CEO
Dr. M R Sheshadri is the CEO of Deepti Electronics and Electro Optics Ltd. He founded the company in 2000. He has overseen its growth since then. Dr. Sheshadri obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1981 in Electro Optics. He obtained his Master of Science degree in Physics from Bangalore University. He was a Senior Scientist in the Aeronautical Development Establishment, a Govt. of India Research and Development Lab, from 1970 to 1993. He has worked extensively in the field of Electro - Optics and has led several projects. From 1993 - 2000 he was a professor in the Visveshwaraya Technological University, where he guided Graduate and Undergraduate students.

K R Lakshmana Murthy - Director and COO
Mr. Murthy has over 30 years of experience in Research, design, development and performance evaluation for manned and unmanned avionics systems. He has successfully completed 15 major projects of national importance. He was a member of the joint design team with Martin Marietta, USA for quadruplex digital fly by wire control computer for the Light Combat Aircraft (Tejas). Mr. Murthy holds an MS degree in Engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree. Mr. Murthy has extensive experience in Project & technical management, Flight Control Electronics, Electromechanical servo systems, Electro hydraulic servo systems, Special Type Test Equipment and Analog & digital electronics.

Manish Jain- Director
Mr. Jain is a co-founder of Axis Holdings Private limited, investment managers to Axis Venture Capital Trust. Manish has been a globally recognized equity research professional focusing on emerging markets and has been instrumental in raising capital and advising large and reputed Indian companies on their globalization and acquisition strategies. Previously, as a Director of Deutsche Securities India and prior to that as a senior VP, DSP Merrill Lynch, Manish has largely been credited with identifying the global generics opportunity for Indian pharmaceutical companies. His major Successes which include Dr Reddy's Labs, Matrix Labs and Ranbaxy Labs.

M.R. Bhashyam - Director
Mr Bhashyam joined Delopt after his retirement from Infosys, a Software company known worldwide. At Infosys, he performed various roles like head of Software Engineering Process group, core team member for conceptualizing and implementing Infosys leadership model and the Infosys Leadership Institute, head of quality for Infosys BPO, part of the core team which developed and implemented the Infosys Competency Model etc. As head of SEPG, he was the main driver for Infosys getting assessed for CMM level 4 and 5 followed by CMMi level 5. At the leadership Institute, he was involved in the conceptualization and implementation of the Infosys Leadership Model. As head of Quality at Infosys BPO, he implemented the Six Sigma and ISO 9001. For his contribution, Mr Bhashyam received the chairman’s award for outstanding award thrice. Prior to Joining Infosys, Bhashyam served as a scientist in Indian Defense R&D and Quality Assurance establishments primarily in the areas of Software Verification and Validation, Hardware Validation, System integration and testing of major Defense systems like the LCA, ALH, Helicopters, Anti Aircraft Gun Control Systems, Communication Systems etc.
