- Their operation is of 'fail safe' type i.e. the brake is applied, when, power to the motor is switched off or power failure occurs.

Textile Motors

We are engaged in manufacturing a precision engineered range
of textile motors that are high on performance and serviceability. These are
manufactured in accordance with latest manufacturing standards and possess
following specifications and features:
- Range : Hp / Kw : 0.25 hp / 0.18Kw to 2hp / 1.5 KW
- Frame : 100 to 132
- Syn. R.P.M. : 1000, 750
- Insulation Class : B, E, F
- Duty : S1
- Enclosure : TEFC / TESC
- Protection : IP54
- Suitable for use in Silk, Cotton and Synthetic Fiber textile mills and power looms
- Smooth acceleration, high torque, noiseless performance
- Either supplied in TESC or TEFC design
- For high-speed looms these motors can be supplied with 24 Volts D.C. disc brake
- The brake is mounted on non-driving end
Operation:
- Under no power conditions to the motor the brake armature coil mounted on non-driving and end shield get energized with desperate 24 Volts D.C. Supply, supplied through NO/NC contact of a contractor, hence the armature attracts the disc allowing the rotor to rotate freely
- When breakage of thread takes place during weaving, in a high speed loom, the supply to the motor is immediately disconnected
- As soon as the power to the motor is disconnected the armature coil get energized which instantly attracts armature disc overcoming the spring force resulting almost instantaneous stopping of rotor thus fail safe condition is ensured
Special Features:
- Being simple and rugged-in construction these motors need very little maintenance
- In the rare event of failure, repair is simple and easy
- Special brake liner is used, which ensures that, the braking torque value remains quite stable throughout the use
- Compensation for liner wear is easily done by decreasing the distance between armatures by removing the spacers provided on rotor shaft
- The design of loom brake motor facilitates a very easy replacement of armature disc and brake liner assembly

Here are some features of our material handling equipments :
• Frame and Gear Box :
Frame is made out of steel, machined and bolted type. The gear box is having hardened alloy steel hobbled teeth helical spur
gears with solid pinions, rigidly aligned with end load plates. All
gears are running on ball/roller bearings with oil bath lubrication and
capable of transferring maximum permissible load without noise. • Rope Drum, Wire Rope, Rope guide and Bottom Block :
The
rope drum is made from seamless pipe or fabricated from steel plates.
The same is grooved to take full lift without over winding. High ratio
of drum diameter to rope diameter reduces wear and cable fatigue. The
rope drum shaft is made from EN steel and entire assembly rotates on
ball bearings, ensuring trouble free operations for years together. Wire rope is of 6 X 37 construction having special plough hemp core flexible steel. Rope
guide is made from cast iron. Fully encircling ring fixed around the
grooves of the rope drum to ensure correct rope lay. All our hoists are
supplied with rope guide and pressure ring. Bottom
block assembly consisting of drop forged steel hook, mounted on thrust
ball bearing with large diameter sleeve and hook plates made from steel. • Motors and Brakes : Foot
mounted, High torque squirrel cage induction motors. Specially designed
for crane and hoist duty applications. Motors are manufactured as per
IS: 325/1996, totally enclosed and having degree of protection IP-54,
IP-55. Brakes are electromagnetic, disc type, spring loaded and
suitable for heavy duty application. Brakes are mounted on non-driving
end of the motor and they are easily serviceable. Motors and brakes are
having class `F’ insulation. • Control Panel, Push Button Station (Pendent) and Limit Switch : Each hoist is supplied with a M.S. fabricated, dust proof, metal
cabinet control panel. Control panel is equipped with
Siemens/L&T/TC make heavy duty, direct on-line sequence reversing air brake contractors, transformers and fuses. Push button station suspended by a steel chain or wire rope and all the
control cables are brought in to it. Supply to the pendent push button
station is either 24 or 110 Volts to avoid electrical shock to the
operator. Push button switches are of reputed make and they are of 2, 4
and 6 stations, depending upon applications. Two limit switches are provided in each hoist to avoid over winding of
wire rope and also to control highest and lowest position of load hook.
• Trolley : Cross travel trolley is designed to suit either
standard rolled steel joint or box girder. The trolley frame is rigidly
bolted with hoist frame through series of holes. This also ensures
proper adjustment of flange width. Cross Travel wheels are provided
with ball bearings mounted on EN 8 steel axles. The motorized trolley
units are supplied with spur gearbox. Hand geared trolley and push pull
trolley is also available.
