Quality Standards

Being an ISO 9000 quality management system certified organization from TUV, Germany,, we strive to maintain the quality of our products. To perform the quality checking of our range, we have our own quality checking unit. This unit checks the procured raw materials, each and every production procedures till the packaging stage, which ensures the high quality of our range.
Delta Exports (India) strives to provide world-class products of high quality according to the customer needs and expectations, in order to achieve enhanced customer satisfaction through pro-active teamwork and continual improvement.

AQL - Acceptable Quality Level

The AQL of a sampling plan is a level of quality routinely accepted by the sampling plan. It is generally defined as the percent defective (defectives per hundred units X 100%) that the sampling plan will accept 95% of the time. This means lots at or better than the AQL are accepted at least 95% of the time and rejected at most 5% of the time.

The AQL can be determined using the operating characteristic (OC) curve by finding that quality level on the bottom axis that corresponds to a probability of acceptance of 0.95 (95%) on the left axis.

Associated with the AQL is a confidence statement one can make. If the lot passes the sampling plan, one can state with 95% confidence that the quality level of the lot is equal to or better than the AQL (i.e., the defective rate of the lot < AQL). On the other hand, if the lot fails the sampling plan, one can state with 95% confidence that the quality level of the lot is worse than the AQL.

The AQL describes what the sampling plan will accept, but it is also important to know what the sampling plan will reject.

Acceptable Quality Level

As MIL-STD-105E is based on random sampling, therefore a few defectives are considered acceptable. The AQL is the maximum percent defective that, for purposes of sampling inspection, can be considered satisfactory as a process average. Different AQLs may be designated for different defects such as critical, major and minor defects. The AQLs should be agreed upon between buyer and supplier before the start of production.
The following AQLs are usually applied:

	High valued products	Low valued products
Critical defects	no critical defect is accepted	no critical defect is accepted
Major defects	AQL 1.5	AQL 2.5
Minor defects	AQL 2.5	AQL 4.0
