During the operation, the fins and tubes of the main engine air cooler which become fouled with oil, grease, dust and carbaceous deposits which reduce the efficiency of air coolers, air compressors, exhaust valves and other equipments.

ARKLEEN 501 penetrates the deposits, dissolves oil and grease which can be washed away with water jet.

Method of Application:

For in place without dismantling: Put sufficient quantity of water cooler with 2 parts of water in a drum. By using a suction hose connecting one end to spray distributor and other to pump discharge, continuously spray the parts till equipment is clean by visual inspection. After cleaning, purge and vent the equipment with air to remove solvent vapors. Finally, rinse the equipment with water.

1. Hand Spray: Remove air trunk or access door. Spray ARKLEEN 501 with a paint spray gun. When soiled parts are completely saturated with solvent cleaner, apply water hose and wash the deposits off the air cooler

2. For in- service cleaning: In regular use 30-35 emulsion with fresh water and may be sprayed to obtain minimum results

Precautions:

Wear goggles and rubber gloves while handling. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors. In case of accidental splashing in eyes, wash with plenty of water

Method of Application :

1. For Tank Cleaning : The accurate volume of BITKLEEN 725 is spread over the surface and sufficient amount of fresh or salt water is added, the concentration being 2 to 3 %. Filled above the normal working level, the contents of the tank agitated by air or circulated by a pump at least for 24 hours. Its is then heated in the immersion heaters or steam.
2. An Alternative Cleaning method is used, in which the contaminated surface of bilges or heavily soiled tanks is sprayed with the BITKLEEN 725 allowing the chemical to soak. It is then cleaned with water. After the cleaning is done the suspension of oil and water is pumped to separator vessel.

Precautions :

Formulated using hydrocarbons solvents, the inhalation of vapors for long time period may be avoided. These must be kept away from open flame.

Method of Application:

• The most effective method is the soaking of the parts. The chemical if sprayed or brushed on the parts, effectively removes the carbonized matter.
• The heavy deposits should be soaked for a longer time and wire brushed if required.
• After the removal of the carbonized matter, the surface of the machine parts should be wiped off using a clean cloth.
• Apart from cleaning the carbonized machine parts, this chemical also stands as a temporary barrier against corrosion.
• The Carbkleen 515 chemical is suitable to be stored in M.S tank with a covered lid. Suppressing the evaporation rate, the stored chemical can be covered with a thin water barrier, without hampering the quality.
• Ensuring longer life and low power consumption, these emulsifying agents use no external heat for removing the carbon matter.
