About Us

Dev Moulders was started for the manufacture of Plastic injection moulded components in the year 1995. The unit is located in the Union territory of Pondicherry. Pondicherry government is known for providing timely help to entrepreneurs and the union territory boasts of uninterrupted power supply at a lower price. Pondicherry has an abundant and skilled labour force. The infrastructure is very good and being very close to Chennai it has Air and Port connectivity.

The unit began production with one SP 130 T injection moulding machine of DGP Windsor make. Within two months of starting production, 95 % capacity utilization was achieved. Within a year second machine of the same capacity was added. To start with, the company was supplying parts to GM Pens International Pvt Ltd, (manufacturers of Reynolds Pens). Later, others customers like NCR Corporation Pvt Ltd, Pondicherry,(Manufacturer of ATM's), APW President Systems, Bangalore, Nash Industries, Bangalore and The Supreme Industries, Pondicherry were added to the list.

The unit has complete facilities for processing various types of plastics. The facilities include Pre drying oven, Colour mixer, scrap grinders, 2 Cooling towers of 10 TR and 15TR capacity, Mould lifting crane of 2 T capacity and Mould temperature controller. The various raw material being processed include Polycarbonate, SAN, ABS, Polyacetal, PP, HIPS, LDPE, TPE (Thermo Plastic Elastomer), NylonDM sub contracts Moulding process as and when necessary and has good control over quality by frequently interacting with the sub contractor and doing in coming inspection of the sub contractor produced components.. With this, higher level of accuracy and productivity has been achieved.

In October 2005, DM made a strategic decision to work towards ISO 9001 and started the implementation process. The main objective was to bench mark the systems and procedures in line with the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and thereby demonstrate to present customers and to the future potential customers that DM can consistently supply products meeting the needs of the customers all the time. The Company has been certified for ISO 9001:2000 by British Standard Institute (BSI) of India and accredited to UKAS in March 2006.
