About UsDeval Utensils Factory was started by Mr. V. M. DEVAL in the year 1939, as a small silverplating jobshop. The business grew rapidly due to the high quality of plating. As a result, our firm branched out into manufacturing of high quality brass utensils, that would do justice to the quality of our silver plating. With a sheet metal shop at our disposal, we were able to introduce a wide range of attractive shapes and sizes to suit the customer needs. We now carry a large selection of articles, designed with the view towards the modern homemakers. This includes dinner sets, tableware, service sets and many other household utensils. We are confident that our products will bring a sparkle to your everyday meals and will brighten your special occassions.
In addition to the variety of articles, we offer two types of plating finishes,dull and bright, and three types of borders, mani, Kamdar, and a leaf pattern ("g" for short). The surfaces of the articles can be handbeaten to add the oldworld charm to the already attractive silverplate. Such an array of choices makes practically every article custom made.

Our utensils are manufactured from prime quality brass sheet, by skilled and experienced Draftsmen. Strict quality control is maintained at all stages of manufacture. Silver plating gets very special attention. High purity Lead-Free silver is used as an anode. For silver plating we use a programmable P.R.-Electropolish power supply. This PATENTED power supply was conceived and developed in our lab. The process also allows us to tightly control the weight of silver deposited. To make doubly sure, 100% cross check is made by "Weight gain" method.
20 microns (0.8 mils)thick layer of pure silver on 'DEVAL' utensils will last for a long time in daily use. Provided a mild detergent is used, all articles can be washed in the dishwasher every day. Silver is one of the best metals for use with food. However, pure Silver is too expensive and too risky for daily use. Cost of 'DEVAL' utensils is only a small fraction of similar pure Silver articles.
'DEVAL' utensils have large variety of attractive shapes. Like all properly designed household utensils, care is taken to avoid sharp corners and difficult to reach places. This makes 'DEVAL' utensils very easy to maintain. |
