Aim / Vision / MissionVision / Mission
In 1879 Mr. Edison’s invention of the incandescent light bulb changed the lives of millions, bringing our evenings out of the darkness and into the light. Indeed we have come long way from the Candle era… or have we?
At this very moment in the 21st century millions of people on earth enjoy the conveniences of living on the grid. Still there are millions more in rural areas in India and beyond, who are living without the grid, and are spending their evenings in the dark. There are over 70 million households in India with out electricity and many more worldwide.
Due to the remoteness of many of these locations and rough terrains it is still very difficult and costly to install and connect high tension electricity transmission lines. In places where there maybe grid electrifications many times it’s quite erratic, sporadic and unreliable…… Eco-friendly solar energy provides a real solution. Clean alternative renewable energy.
There are also many who have made a conscious decision and have chosen of their own free will to live off-grid and solely on renewable energy sources and contribute to the well being of the environment.
The mission of DGESL is to provide a reliable source of Renewable Energy worldwide and reduce our carbon emissions and leave a better, greener environment for the future generations. Solar powered energy will replace a substantial amount of green house gas each year.
The mission of DGESL is to utilize the power of the sun and with the latest cutting edge technology be a leader in solar powered energy equipments, manufacturing Solar lanterns, Solar Home lighting systems and Solar Industrial systems.
Team / Manpower
At the XL Foundation Results Entrepreneur Business School, Bali, a group of 12 like minded individuals from various parts of the world were placed together to work on a project which initially was rather different than Solar powered energy. Calling themselves the ‘Blazing Sun Flowers” and after 3 hectic working days and nights, much debate, contemplation and creative input the team also saw and understood the need to provide Solar powered solutions for the World energy problem and where better to start than India where there are over 100,000 villages with out electricity.
| In conjunction with Effectron Luminex Ltd., members of the Bali blazing Sunflowers formed Darbari Green Energy Systems Ltd (DGESL) in 2008. |
