gear oil pimp having gears that rotate & they separate on the intake side of the pump, creating a void and suction which is filled by fluid. The fluid is carried by the gears to the discharge side of the pump, where the meshing of the gears displaces the fluid. The mechanical clearances are small— in the order of 10 μm. The tight clearances, along with the speed of rotation, effectively prevent the fluid from leaking backwards.

the rocker arm is a reciprocating lever that conveys radial movement from the cam lobe into linear movement at the poppet valve to open it. One end is raised and lowered by the rotating lobes of the camshaft (either directly or via a tappet (lifter) and pushrod) while the other end acts on the valve stem. When the camshaft lobe raises the outside of the arm, the inside presses down on the valve stem, opening the valve. When the outside of the arm is permitted to return due to the camshafts rotation, the inside rises, allowing the valve spring to close the giver.

A magnetic pickup sensor which includes a sensor assembly 11 and a molded resin housing 12 disposed around the assembly. The sensor assembly has a pickup coil 15 wound around an iron core 14 for detecting a change in the magnetic flux of a magnet 13, and a support unit including a coil bobbin 18 and a spacer 20 for supporting the magnet and core assembly. The iron core has one end 14a projecting outwardly from the molded resin, and the spacer of the support unit has a positioning recess 23 for engagement by a positioning pin 30 of a mold die. Therefore, the sensor assembly can be accurately positioned and held within the mold die during molding of the housing.

An oil assembly comprises: a cylindrical main housing having an open upper end; a cover assembled with an upper end thereof; an impeller housing disposed beneath a lower surface thereof; a mixer disc fixedly inserted in the impeller housing; an adjust housing disposed under the impeller to supply the oil when an engine is operated; a filter member for filtering off the foreign material from the oil supplied from the impeller; and a fixing-and-oil-discharging bolt for assembling elements disposed in the main housing by means of the cover and supplying the oil filtered and cleaned to parts of an engine. The oil assembly has a superior capability of capturing material, so that the lubrication of the engine can be smoothly performed and the power of the engine is increased.

An shutdown valve comprises housing and a gate movable within a housing between a first position where the air flow through the shutdown valve is substantially unrestricted to a second position where the opening is restricted thereby stopping air flow. The gate is pivotable about an axis. The gate has an extension with a recess which is engageable by a piston movable between a first position where the gate is held in its latched position and a second position out of engagement with the recess so as to allow the gate to move to a position where the air passageway is closed. The gate is movable by a rod attached to the gate lever and which rod is biased by a compression spring mounted within a sleeve. The spring is adjustable to increase or decrease the force on the gate and such adjustment can be accomplished from outside the shutdown without disassembly of the entire valve.

The turbocharger increases the density of air entering the engine to create more power. A turbocharger has the compressor powered by a turbine which is driven by the engine's own exhaust gases rather than direct mechanical drive. This allows a turbocharger to achieve a higher degree of efficiency than other types of forced induction compressors which are more vulnerable to parasitic loss.

a coupling is a device used to connect two shafts together at their ends for the purpose of transmitting power. Couplings do not normally allow disconnection of shafts during operation, however there are torque limiting couplings which can slip or disconnect when some torque limit is exceeded.

the primary purpose of couplings is to join two pieces of rotating equipment while permitting some degree of misalignment or end movement or both. By careful selection, installation and maintenance of couplings, substantial savings can be made in reduced maintenance costs and downtime.

a cylinder liner is a cylindrical part to be fitted into an engine block to form a cylinder. It is one of the most important functional parts to make up the interior of an engine.  
this is called cylinder liner in japan, but some countries(or companies) call this cylinder sleeve.

the cylinder liner, serving as the inner wall of a cylinder, forms a sliding surface for the piston rings while retaining the lubricant within. The most important function of cylinder liners is the excellent characteristic as sliding surface and these four necessary points.
