INTRODUCTION Using argon of insufficient quality is characterized by erratic results, loss of sensitivity, instability in the excitation and a cloudy white burn. Hence a good supply of high quality Argon is essential for the use with spectrometers. The APG-6A is a complete unit for the purification of argon. It offers a compact system for delivery of purified gas directly to the point of use. The purifier contains reaction tube housed in a cabinet for immediate use. Just plug into the local ac power supply, connect the gas and purge the lines, turn on the power and you are up and running. The APG-6 argon gas purifier is the latest in gas purification system. It reduces the impurities to the level of 1 ppm.

DIGITECH Thermal Conductivity Apparatus, Model - 8050 PTH, is a microprocessor based instrument designed to measure and display the thermal conductivity of insulating materials, using guarded hot plate method as per guidelines of latest Indian Standards: IS-3346/ASTM177. The instrument is automatic and programmable; designed with latest integrated circuit technology. The instrument displays the “K” value directly in engineering units. The samples of the material to be tested are placed on either side of a horizontal guarded hot plate, consisting of a central heater surrounded by a separately controlled guard heater.Two auxiliary heater plates are provided on the other side of the two samples to produce a uniform and constant temperature on the other side of the sample. Two fluid cooled cold plates are also provided to work on a low mean temperature. Fluid temperature control may be done externally. The guard and central plate heaters are fed through high performance, regulated D. C. power supplies, controlled by differential temperature controller. The auxiliary heater plates are controlled by S. C. R. proportional temperature controller. Temperature measurement is done by embedded thermocouples in guarded hot and auxiliary plates. Window based software is provided, to display temperature of thermocouples and power fed to central heater. K-Value is automatically calculated and displayed as per sample parameters and temperature data. SPECIFICATIONS Mean Temperature Range : 100 to 550 deg.C Measurement Range : 0 to 1.0 Watt/mK. The Data logger model PSP-02 is microprocessor based data acquisition system, and designed to measure PSP voltage. The unit is having high input resistance and provides high measurement accuracy.  Instrument measures input signal and displays measured parameters on a multi character alphanumeric intelligent LCD provided to display data directly in engineering units. The unit is hand held type and has built-in rechargeable batteries. The batteries may be charged with battery charger supplied along with the data logger.  

The operating parameters like calibration factor, real time, interrupter on/off time, are all key board programmable.

The TLP history data may be stored in the memory of data logger through PC on appropriate command. The unit stores TLP number, chainage, distance, type and location information of the pipe line.

More than  2000 of TLP data distributed in five sections may be stored and a maximum of 5000 records of PSP measurement data can be stored in non volatile memory of the system.

The unit takes measurement in synchronization of TLP on/off period. The records are stored in memory, in cyclic manner i.e. when 5000^{th record} is written next record is automatically stored on record no one.  Data remains intact during replacement / removal of batteries.

 

The stored data may be transferred to PC through RS-232C link for analysis.  

Interactive Window base software is provided to acquire stored TLP data / acquiring measured PSP data and writing TLP data to logger.

The model 1661MC5 is a microprocessor based instrument, designed to accept strain data from five points using strain Gage sensors / bridge. The input signal is amplified by high performance amplifier and fed to precision analog to digital converter (ADC).
