 | | POM - PolyacetalPartially crystalline thermoplastics, POM – Polyacetal finds application during manufacturing of engineering precision parts, which require high stiffness, low friction and excellent dimensional stability. Mechanical properties of POM are determined by the degree of crystallization, which increases with the mold temperature. Similar to all crystalline polymers the follow-up pressure can be influential on the shrinkage of the part and a longer hold time is preferred to reduce shrinkage. Injection Molding: - Mold temperature of 50 – 120 C
- MFI (190C @ 2,16 kg) = 1 – 10 kg/10 min POM is suitable for injection of thin wall & complex parts, MFI (300 C @ 21,6 kg) of 13 – 65 g/10min
Extrusion: - Extrusion mainly to produce semi-finished articles (round and flat rods, hollow rods, slabs) and can be carried out easily on single and multi screw extruders
- Extrusion temperature : from 180 to 220 C.
- A L/D ratio of 15 to 25 is recommended.
- MFI (190C @ 2,16 kg) = 1.3 kg/10min

 | | Polythlene- HDPE, LLDPE, LDPEPrimarily used in packaging industry, our Polythene- HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, is derived by accurate composition and reaction of various carbons and its compounds. Based on its density and branching, this polythene is processed to form various categories like HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE and others. Extrusion is the most common process used for LDPE (tube, blow and cast films, cables) where as it can also be processed by injection molding or roto-molding. Extrusion: - Melt temperature : 180-240 C
- Higher melt temperatures are needed for extrusion-coating (280-310 C)
- A three zone screw with a L/D ratio of around 25 is recommended
Injection molding : - Melt temperature : 160-260 C
- Post mold shrinkage lies between 1.5 and 3.5%

 | | Polystyrene- HIPS, GPPSOur clients can avail from us high quality Polystyrene- HIPS, GPPS that easily gets molded between 30C to 50C. One of the most commonly used kind of plastics, this polystyrene can be casted into various molds with fine details. Owing to its distinctive properties, it is used to make diversified products including disposable cutlery, plastic models, CD & DVD cases, smoke detector housings and many more. Injection Molding: - Recommended melt temperature of 180-280 C
- For thin wall objects molded at short cycle times it could be useful to cool down the mold down to 10 C
- Mold shrinkage lies between 0.4 and 0.7% depending on the grade used
Extrusion : - High viscosity grade are ideal for extrusion
- Melt temperature of 180-220 C
- Pre-drying for injection molding with a vented cylinder is not required, however if drying is needed then 4 hours at 80 C is sufficient
- Signs of moisture are stripes, streaks or bubbles

 | | PMMA Polymethylmethacrylate We are instrumental in offering highly resistive PMMA – Polymethylmethacrylate, which is an economical alternative to ploycarbonates. With normal cylinders pre drying of granules for up to 8 hours at 70-100 C is recommended whereas with vented cylinders, it can be processed without any drying. If damp granules are processed, they form surface defects and blisters. Sourced from leading manufacturers, it is appreciated by our clients due to its moderate properties, transparency, easy handling & processing, and low cost.
Injection Molding: - Melt temperature : 200- 250 C
- Mold temperature : 40 – 80 C
- High injection pressures are needed because of poor flow properties and it may be necessary to inject slowly to get the correct flow
Extrusion: - Extrusion temperature: 180 – 250C
- Recommended degassing screw with an L/D ratio of 20 –30
