Reactive Diluents

Description for CGE
It is a commercial grade of o-Cresol glycidyl ether. A low viscosity aromatic mono-epoxide. Primarily used for reducing viscosity of conventional epoxy resins.

Description for PGE
It is light yellow liquid mono-epoxied compatible with modified and non-modified DGEBA epoxy resins in all proportions

• Appearance visual Light yellow, Clear Liquid
• Epoxy Value 5.9 - 6.3 eq. / Kg.
• Refractive Index 1.528 - 1.330 @ 25 C
• Storage Stability Up to 12 months in original container.

Addition of REACTIVE DILUENT to an epoxy resin imparts the following advantages:

• Viscosity Reduction without increasing volatiles.
• Higher filler loadings, which in turns results in cost reduction. Secondary benefits of the higher filler loadings, such as higher compressive strength, lower co-efficient of expansion; lower exothermic and lower shrinkage are also obtained.
• Increased Pot Life of resin hardener mixture without increasing total cure time.

• In coating - both solvents free and solvent containing.
• In casting and potting of electrical and electronic components.
• In laminating with glass fibre.
