Column Chromatography is today one of the most important and widely used techniques for the separation and analysis of complex organic mixtures. Silica Gel for column chromatography are available in any desired particle size for pilot plant or plant applications.

The different mesh sizes manufactured by us are as follows:

•  60/120 mesh. (120-250) micron.
•  100/200 mesh. (75-150) micron. 
•   70/230 mesh. (equivalent to Davision 62) (63-200) micron. 
•   230/400 mesh. (37-63) micron. 
•   70/325 mesh. (45-200) micron.

Application :

Silica Gel For Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC)

Silica Gel with calcium sulphate (CaSo4 ½ H2O) as binder is by far the most extensively used adsorbent in Thin layer chromatography because of the excellent separation it affords. When coated on a plate in the form of thin layer it serves as a versatile solid stationary phase for adsorption and partition chromatography.

Application : Silica Gel - 'G' can be successfully employed in both qualitative and quantitative analysis of alkaloids, amino acids, oils and fats, vitamins, plant pigments, drugs and sugars.
The range of products in Thin Layer Chromatography are as follows:

Silica Gel TLC 'H'
Without binder i.e CaSo4 ½ H2O

Non indicating silica gels will adsorb moisture in exactly the same way as -indicating (blue) silica gel, but they will not indicate when they are becoming saturated by changing their colour. It will remain white when they are becoming saturated. This is useful in fillers, catalysts supports, adsorbent, dehydrating agent and as the buffing media in toothpaste.

Activated Alumina Balls

We are providing alumina balls that are manufactured from aluminium Oxide which is resistant to thermal stock and abrasion. Further, it does not shrink, swell, soften nor disintegrate when immersed in water.

Surface area are in the range 345-415 . Due to its higher capacity for water than Silica Gel at elevated temperatures it is mainly used as a desiccant for warm gases including air.

Applications :

• Purification of gases and liquids (removal of metallic traces, TBC and HF compounds).
• Drying of organic liquids such as LPG, propylene, butene, steam cracked liquids, cyclohexane, gasoline, chloro and fluoro hydrocarbons, aromatic solvents.
