Quality Policy

Methodology of Piling

Survey the area & mark the pile points.
Bring the rig near pile point, Align tip of Auger with Pile Point using articulation & adjust vertically.
Pre-Bore @ 1m depth, place guide casing keeping pile point at centre & press by rotary. In case of longer casing it is placed in similar way.
Start Boring. Depending upon the material being bored Drill & take out musk. After boring to the desired depth clean the bore by using bucket.
After the boring is finished, lower the cage in the bore using a crane or auxiliary winch of the rig. Pour the concrete using tremie pipe up to the top of the bore.
Remove the temporary casing by crance/2^nd winch.

Related Activities

Cages are made and kept ready while drilling is going on at site to save time.
Must is cleared from near the rig & taken away using a small loader.
It is insured that the concrete is available for pouring in the completed bore as soon as possible to enhance the productivity.

Use of Bentonite

Bentonite powder is mixed with water in required concentration in a big tank. Specific Gravity @ 1.02 with Mixer / Agitator.
This mixture is pumped in the bore while Drilling.
The bentonite mix comes out of bore during concreting which is sucked by Vertical Mud pump and is sent to Desander where the sand is removed from it. powder is mixed with water in required concentration in a big tank. Specific Gravity @ 1.02 with Mixer / Agitator.
Mix is sent back to the tank. bentonite powder in required quantity is added to the mix to maintain level of concentration before reusing while boring.
Bentonite particles are very fine & light which percolates fast in the earth & block the natural streams of water, hence it is considered environmentally hazardous especially in Agricultural / fertile land.

Concreting with Tremie Pipe

Trime Pipe

A Narrow steel pipe with hopper attached at the top end held by Crane / Service winch of Rig to pore concrete in to the bore. The tremie pipe has several sections screwed together to increase or reduce the length by adding or removing the sections according to the requirement.

The correct procedure of concreting of pile is to start pouring the concrete from the bottom of the bore up to the top.
