D166 DURABUILD COOL WALL WATERPROOF COATING is an acrylic polymer based product for waterproofing and heat insulation to the building walls and exposed roofs. When applied on the surfaces, it reduces heat transfer from the exterior to the interior and vice versa. It essentially consists of hollow micro spheres based on borosilicate glass bubbles which create air voids within microstructure of coating resulting in low thermal conductivity and low dielectric constant. This “Air Space” imparts excellent insulation properties to coating re-radiating most of the solar heat back into the atmosphere. Thus, it acts as an “Energy Saver” by reducing the power consumption load on air conditioner or room heater with additional property of waterproofing.

DURATHANE 100 is a 100% solid containing solvent less rapid curing heavy duty polyurethane basedtwo pack system of elastomer/waterproof membrane coating to provide exceptional protection forsurfaces subject to movement or to cracking in severe chemical and physical environment.

Uses:
DURATHANE 100 is designed for crack bridging, strong adhesion and chemical resistance. It isextensively used in steel and concrete structures, containment areas like tank, truck, piping andprocessing equipments, handling fresh and brine water and liquid solutions of industrial waste, salts,detergents, many acids, alkalis and other chemicals. DURATHANE 100 provides very high degree ofprotection against corrosive moisture, fumes, chlorine, carbon-di-oxide, hydrogen sulphide and methane gases.

Application:
Surface Preparation:
(a) For steel : Round off sharp edges and rough welds. Burrs and weld spatter should be completelyremoved. Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of all dirt, chalk, grease, oils, salts and deleteriousmaterials before application is performed.
(b) For concrete: Concrete shall be fully cured prior to commencement of any surface preparationor coating operations. Any large fins or protrusions, which are likely to cause filmdiscontinuities, shall be removed by chipping or power grinding. Surface shall be blast cleaned toremove surface efflorescence and laitance, etc.

The blast nozzle will be kept at sufficient distance and moved quickly (sweep blasting) to avoid overblast and excessive exposure of aggregates. The blasted surface shall have the roughness of medium grade sandpaper. Any large size voids or concrete defects will be either flooded with the elastomeric polyurethane while spraying or previously filled manually with appropriate grout material.
Before application of the product, priming with DURATHANE P is highly recommended.DURATHANE 100 should be applied when the ambient temperature is below 50C (400F) and thesurface of the concrete is wet (surface moisture should be less than 2 to 3% for the ideal condition of application – moisture meter may be used for such purpose). Apply in even coat by spray/brush.

Mixing:
All equipments should be cleaned and flushed with thinner. Do not vary mixing proportions. Do notallow the catalysed material to remain in equipment after use.

Application:

Any large fins or protrusions, which are likely to cause film discontinuities, shall be removed by chipping or power grinding. Surface shall be blast cleaned to remove surface efflorescence and laitance, etc. Priming may be carried out with DURAXY WB as a primer coat.DURATHANE 50 has single component. Prior to use, the product is mixed with an epoxy/ polyurethane paddled drill at 300-400 rpm for 3-4 minutes without causing air bubbles. Make sure that the temperature of the material is between +15ºC-+25°C prior to mixing.DURATHANE 50 should be applied to the surface using a squeegee (wiper) or a roller. For applications with rollers, the surface should be well raked to minimise streaks. Thick application may cause foaming.

DescriptionDURAFEX is a grey coloured elastomeric/acrylic/rubber membrane coating in brushable pasty consistency. Over cracked surface DURAFEX may be laid with non-woven fabric like polyester felt sandwiched between two coats. Other colours are available on request.

UsesFlat or sloped concrete roof decks, basements, asbestos roof etc. where cracks on the surface are to be sealed. Primer should be used.

APPLICATION DETAILS
SURFACE PREPARATION/ PRIMING
Clean the surface from dirt, dust, fungus, latience and projecting nibs. Apply Durafex primer over the surface @6 to 10Sq mtr/kg.
SURFACES WITH CRACKS 0.6mm WIDTH ( STATIC/DYNAMIC )Allow the applied primer to dry (2-4hour). Apply first coat of Durafex over it @0.50 to 0.80 kg/ m2. Allow it to dry for 2-6hours.Apply second coat of Durafex @0.50 to 0.80 kg/ m2. Allow it to dry for 24 hours (no soft/ wet material should come out by nail). Finally after 24 hours, apply cement/sand (zone III)mortar at 1:6 with 15-20mm thickness admixture with Dura 1 or Duraspred M@ 1kg or Duratite @ 150 ml per 50kg cement.
SURFACES WITH CRACKS  0.6mm WIDTH ( STATIC/DYNAMIC )Allow the applied primer to dry (2-4 hours). Apply Durafex @1to 1.25 kg / m2. Followed by laying non-wovenfabric and saturated the pores of the fabric wit paint roller. Allow it to dry for 2-6 hours.Apply second coat over the top of the saturated fabric @ 1to 1.25 kg/ m2. and allow it to dry for 24 hours. Finally provide a layer of cement/ sand(zone III) mortar as described in the previous section.
