Eddy Current Dynamometers

Eddy Current Dynamometers operate with controlled magnetic field as the medium of torque transmission. This magnetic field is generated by a stationery coil. With the speed reduction, the developed torque also diminishes and no torque is developed at zero speed. Clients use these dynamometers for testing engines and motors in the medium to high-speed range. These are also used in machines with turbo characteristics.
