High Tensile and Biodegradable Properties
We are among the prominent manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of an extensive range of Jute Products in the market. To promote jute as an eco-friendly and biodegradable product in the fashion gallery of the nation, National Institute of Fashion Technology and the Institute of Jute Technology work in collaboration with each other. Jute Fibers are cost effective in nature and have high tensile strength that ensures the products’ capability to withstand adverse conditions. To increase the creative look of the garments, jute fibers are combined with rayon, wool, acrylic, cotton and polypropylene.
Environmentally Acceptable Products
Although, in its natural state, jute fiber is quite rough, when blended with other fabrics it really comes into its own especially now that more and more people are becoming concerned for the planets limited resources and the degree of biodegradability of processed products. Clothing, soft furnishings and other fashion accessories tend to be manufactured from JUCO which is an amalgamation of cotton and jute, mixed in different blends for a range of quality weight fabrics that are soft with the ability to fall into soft folds. Jute is produced quite cheaply, growing in abundance due to its affinity to the vast tracts of alluvial silt deposited by the River Ganges. It flourishes in the warm, wet and humid climate. The West Bengal government has recognized the enormous advantages of commercially marketing this environmentally friendly crop that produces fully biodegradable products that are so popular in the West. NIRJAFT, the National Institute of Research on Jute and Allied Fiber Technology have been considering unique opportunities to process jute so that it becomes less rough and much more malleable, aiming for a much softer feel to the fibers.Although, traditionally, jute has been used to manufacture bags, diversification into fashion accessories, jewelry and attractive fashion bags is now elevating the humble jute fibers into a much esteemed, sustainable source of tomorrow fabric.
How Jute is Prepared
For the preparation of jute plant, retting process is involved that continues for approximately 20 days in which the bonding of Pectin is weakened. As soon as the pectin gets dissolved in water, the fibers easily get separated and then can be easily extracted from the stalks. After the washing process of fibers strands is over, these are placed on roof top of the local houses. They are dried for at least three days and then collected fibers are coupled together into bundles.
The fashion for the future
Recreating the definition of fashion, JUTE, a rough fabric when mixed with different fabrics such as Twine and yarn provides a great look and feel to the clothing factor. This mixed Jute works as a cash crop in flourishing and enhancing the economy of many nations.
As per the market study conducted in the year 2004, statistics reflect that there was a yielding of 45,378 million square meter of fabric, which increases by 9% every year. Hence jute is considered as a profitable cash crop. Our export to US in the year 2005 has earned us a handsome amount of US $13,038.64 million which was increased by 8.21 % in the year 2006.
