ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI is the pioneer in manufacturing calendar bowls in INDIA. It started its operation in the country in the year 1959, when it joined hands with ECK HAUBOLD of Germany, who were in turn the leaders in the field.
The manufacturing facilities were imported from Germany and installed in Mumbai under their guidance and factory commenced manufacturing cotton bowls for Textile Industry. The company is managed by THACKERSEY group since then.
In the year 1961, raw material for paper bowls was imported from Germany and the bowls were refilled for the first time in the country for textile, jute and paper mills. ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI continued its efforts in finding out a substitute to the expensive imported calender bowl paper and were successful in developing a combination of cotton yarn and comber cotton material in the year 1965. A hybrid cotton comber bowl was manufactured for the first time by ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI for the paper industry calendering coated paper. The cost of comber bowl was very low compared to the paper bowl and the performance quite satisfactory. ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI became the trend setter by introducing Comber bowls in Paper industry.
The calender bowls were well accepted by the industry and as the demand grew the management decided to expand its manufacturing activities. In the year 1995 a new bowl filling plant was commissioned near Mumbai at Ambernath. Full set of plant and machinery was imported from the world famous bowl makers VOITH SULZER of GERMANY.

M/s. Raymond Ltd. receives a momento from Eck Haubold & Laxmi

Mr. Gautam Singanhia, Chairman & Managing Director of M/s. Raymond Ltd. receiving a momento from Jagdish Thackersey,Director, Eck Haubold & Laxmi on the occasion of the delivery of the 175th LAXMI HELEXTRA ROLLER. The high squeexe Laxmi Helextra Roller is to be installed at their Textile processing division at Chindwara. There are now 12 Laxmi Helextra Rollers working in the Raymond Group.

Calender bowl manufacturer ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI informed that they have made and supplied biggest non woven roll for fiber application at M/s. Birla Cellulosic, which was earlier imported from UK. Apart from saving forign exchange, the company has got a break tharough in substituting steel roll with non woven roll for better expression and subsequently saving in power and heat energy while drying.

ECK HAUBOLD & LAXMI introduces non woven LAXMI HELEXTRA roll in place of PU roll on balloon padder. It is used in pair. The improved squeezing has helped to save thermal power and heat energy while drying. The pay back reported is less than six months. Interestingly, there are no crease marks on the tubular fabric
