Single Roll Crusher

Application :

Single Roll crushers are used for the crushing of soft, medium hard and friable materials, like R.O.M. Coal, Rock Phosphate, Soft limestone, Salt Shales, Slag etc.

Type are manufactured in two types :-

  • E - 11 DOS - Heavy Duty.
  • E - 1100L - Light Duty.

As the heavy duty crushers run at comparatively lower speed than the light duty crushers, countershaft with gear & pinion arrangement/gear box gets added in the drive system.

Otherwise in case of light duty crushers, drive is through V belts only. Many times slow speed motors with bigger diam driven pulleys are used as drive.

Working :

The Crushing of feed material takes place in the single roll crusher, in a wedge-shaped crushing zone, by pressure and shear.

Crushing area formed by the rotating roll and the adjustable spring loaded breaker plate. On the discharge side gap between the combs of the breaker plate & roll-tips is adjustable. The gap setting, tooth configuration, surface speed& spring load decides the end-product.

Main shaft is an alloy steel forging with higher tensile strength. EN9, EN24 etc.
Breaker plate is suspended on a heavy hinge pin, mounted on the housing of the roll crusher. Lower end is supported on heavy duty springs and by screw & nut arrangement, its position can be altered.

  • Ratio of feed size (da) and the diam of roll (Dw) lies between DW ——— =4-5 (depends upon product size)
  • Capacity: Q = 0,5 BSV 3600 E Q = M3/h B = Width Of Roll S = Setting V = Roller Speed E = Filling Factor

Application :

Toothed Double Roll Crushers are used for crushing the friable and brittle materials like Coal, Coke, Sinter (hot and cold), Clay, Earth, Slag, Chalk, Soft Limestone etc.

Due to cutting action of the teeth, crushing of material takes place mostly due to shear and not by pressing. Therefore fines generation is bare minimum.

Description :

Crushing takes place due to two rolls running in to each other and crushing the material caught in the valley of the rolls. One roll is fixed, while other one is adjustable & spring mounted, premising of uncrushable to pass through.

Crushing Rolls :

Toothed rings are mounted on the heavy fabricated hub and the rings are kept in position by holding bolts. These rings are made of wear-resistant steel, like 1 4% Mn Steel, K.M.D. or any other hardened Steel depending upon the application.

Application :

ECOMAN's Impactors are manufactured in two series, viz. 1 7 E & 1 700 EH.
1700 E are manufactured for crushing brittle & soft materials like Limestone, Slag, Coal, Gypsum etc.

They are without breaker Jib. 1700 EH are manufactured for crushing hard rocks, like Granite, Basalt, etc. These Impactors are provided with breaker, Jib, so that uniform end product is produced & these Impactors are mainly meant for aggregate manufacturing plants, as it gives cubical products.

Description :

In an fabricated enclosure adjustable 2-3 breaker plates (sometimes spring loaded) are suspended. A massive rotor, with high rotational inertia, has been fitted with 2 to 6 blow bars, rotates with velocity of 35M/sec, to 45/M/sec.

Material is fed at an angle & at a position, on to rotor in such a way that Blow-bars, almost without losing their R.P.M., hit the material with such an impact that material shatters in the space before hitting the breaker-walli. Further crushing takes place, after the material hits against the breaker-plate. Rebounded Material is again impacted back on to breaker plate for further crushing, As the material breaks due to Impact & due to input of more kinetic energy, material breaks equally in all directions giving cubical product.

Product grain distribution / analysis depends mainly on rotor speed and can be further adjusted by breaker plate setting. In order to prevent possible damages caused by foreign bodies (like metals), breaker plates are spring loaded.

HOW VSI WORKS ?

VSI is nothing but a Centrifugal "STONE-PUMP". Stones are fed into centre of the rotor (like water in the centrifugal pump) & stones are thrown outwards towards the periphery by centrifugal force.

Feed material is fed through a vertical tube in the centre of the horizontal rotor rotating at high speed (60 M/Sec to 70 M/Sec) around a vertical axis.

Feed material due to centrifugal force starts picking up speed and it starts getting distributed over the distribution cone & as the material travels over the rotor-vanes, towards the periphery attains the same speed as speed of rotor's periphery.

At the instant of alighting from the rotor, material attains a velocity which is the resultant of peripheral velocity and radial velocity (due to centrifugal force) and direction of the resultant velocity is almost 45 degrees to radial direction.

Kinetic energy of these feed particles, is so high that after impact, against the breaking surfaces stresses developed within the particles overshoot their ultimate strengths and thereby particles disintegrate into number of pieces giving rise to new surfaces.

    Description :

    When the feeding stock enters the beating circle of the rotor it is caught by the beater heads and hurled against the impact wall by a series of impacts in quick succession and thus coarse crushing is effected by the crushing effect of the impact.

    The following secondary crushing is effected in the lower part between rotor and impacting area. The beater arms with replaceable beater heads are loosely suspended on the circumference of the rotor. When they have attained full peripheral speed they are in radial position.

    Due to the flexible suspension of the beater arms the impact crusher is rather insensitive to the penetration of foreign material (like metals).

    Working diameter and width of the rotor are determined according to the specific requirements.

    The required grain size can be modified by co-ordinating and adjusting the grinding wall towards the beating circle of the rotor at inlet and outlet and the peripheral speed respectively.

    Ease of maintenance :

    The impact crusher housings are equipped with largely dimensioned inspection flaps allowing at any time a quick inspection of the impact crusher condition inside the machine.

    The housing of the impact crusher is divided and can be opened hydraulically or mechanically by spindles on the left and right side of the rotor. Thus all wearing parts (beater heads, beater arms and components of the impact wall) become accessible and may be easily replaced.

    Ecoman's circular motion inclined vibrating screen is a two bearing free floating vibrating screen which efficiently screens all moderately free flowing materials.

    The circular throw action is derived from imbalance weights which are attached to the ends of the vibrator unit and transmit a uniform vibration to all screening surfaces and ensures that material trave over the screening surfaces at a constant rate.

    The amplitude can be adjusted to suit a change of duty by adding or subtracting balance weight plates. Circular motion ensures rap stratification at the feed end and produces an accurately sized product in the shortest possible time.

    Screen's inclination normally varies between 15" to 25; and can be installed with fixed angle or adjustable bracket arrangement. Speed of screen varies between 850 R.RM. to 1150 R.PM. depending upon the"G" value desired.

    Screens are manufactured in following widths 800, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600. 1800, 2000. 2200 m.rr and lengths varying from 1500 m.m. to 6000 m.m. Number of decks, can be upto four. Maximum dec area : 14 sq.m.

    Vibrator Unit

    The vibrator Unit is a steel shaft, completely housed in a protective steel tubular casing which in turn is provided with an easily replaceable rubber cover to resist damage and abrasion.

    The bearings are specially designed for the use on screens and are a high capacity self aligning double roller type. These bearings have special tolerances and improved lubrication facilities to give extended bearing life under their arduous working conditions. Labyrinth type grease sealings are provided to prevent dust getting into bearings. A deep groove V-belt Pulley is bored eccentrically to ensure true running to obviate the belt whip.
