POPULAR CUSTOMER CHOICE: EKTA WORLDVILLE STEALS THE SHOW
Inspired by different cultures of the world - Roman, Egyptian, Greek and Mediterranean - 'Ekta Worldville' offers a sense of world living at affordable prices, says Sameer Barde
Any talk of a meltdown in the real estate sector seems to be blown over after the tremendous response 'Ekta Worldville', a township project of Ekta World, has garnered just five days after its launch at Hinjewadi Phase I, it has sold 223 units. Potential buyers, are making a beeline, literally, to book their dream home in this community of boutique residences.
Inspired by different cultures of the world - Roman, Egyptian, Greek and Mediterranean - 'Ekta Worldville' offers a sense of world living at an affordable price, for it starts at Rs 28.65 lakh for a 1 ½ BHK apartment. "It's actually a two BHK flat. The second bedroom is small, hence can be used as a study room, kid's room or multi utility room. In that sense, we are offering a 2 BHK flat at the price of a 1 ½ BHK," says an elated Ashok Mohanani, chairman and managing director of Ekta World. For those looking for bigger homes, there are 2, 2 ½, 3 and 4 BHK flats as well.
"Ekta Worldville' is based on the concept of 'walk to work'. In the next two years, the number of IT professionals at Hinjewadi would increase to 2.5 lakh. There are no residential areas nearby, so these professionals have an ideal residential location that will cut down their traveling time," explains the CMD.
Manoj Deshpande, an IT professional who has booked a 3 BHK flat at 'Ekta Worldville', says, "I am looking at the future. If I am working here, I would like to have my residence at a walking distance and find this township ideal."
Vivek Mohanani, the young executive director of Ekta World, elaborates, "Our basic idea is that people can work, stay and also be entertained in Hinjewadi. So, we are also coming up with a Plaza , a multiplex, coffee shops, resto bar in this township to name a few." There are other amenities like swimming pools, gardens, children play area, clubhouse, coffee shop, jogging tracks and a complete wi-fi zone that will make living pleasurable.
V K Kannan, group project manager, Infosys liked the variety of flats in the project. "The project is at a prime location. The construction quality also appears good. Importantly, the promoters were flexible in providing an apartment of my choice."
Deepali Goyal, also from Infosys, has booked a 1 ½ BHK in the project as it suits her requirement. "Proximity to my workplace was the prime factor behind my decision. The overall plan is also appealing," says she.
Ravindra Bathula, assistant vicepresident, legal, National Stock Exchange, immediately booked a 2 ½ BHK house after seeing the sample flat. "At present I am staying in Lake Homes, Powai, built by the same group. They deliver what they promise and the price is also reasonable. There are many corporates in Hinjewadi with good growth prospects. So I am looking forward to staying here."
"The 2 ½ bedroom is actually a cozy 3 BHK apartment with the study room approx 115 sq.ft carpet area. No doubt it got sold out."
The developer had to rejig the configuration to fit in more 2 ½ BHK apartments.
