Elgin started its business by offering the industry, one of the best and most efficient designs of Air Drying Systems . Elgin also undertook custom-built equipment like pressure vessels, columns and storage tanks. Later on agitator assemblies and heat exchangers were added to the list of custom-built equipment.Today, the finned tube heat exchangers manufactured by Elgin are considered among the best and well designed heat exchangers. Elgin used its experience of air drying to develop low pressure dehumidifiers and then Elgin developed the capability to design and manufacture hydrogenators. Somewhere along, Elgin decided to develop a range of complete turn-key system products. This has resulted in development of world class systems for gas drying, liquid drying, and Volatile Vapour recovery including Asia s first Benzene Vapour Recovery System for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Mahul. Keeping energy, savings and environment friendliness in mind, Elgin then inducted solar water heating systems (in association with Clique Enterprises) and heat recovery units in the product range. Now, Elgin has designed and manufactured bio-diesel plants for Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, (I.I.T.-B). This quest to develop new excellent products shall continue at Elgin.
