Previously imported, magnesium hydroxide is a Pharma product developed in India by us in 1977. It is mainly used in antacid tablets and liquids & in laxative products. We manufacture it in various bulk density as per application in tablets or liquids. It is also used in flame retardants, rubber, plastics & ceramics, glass, effluent treatment, and other magnesium salt. It is also used in food nutritional products along with vitamins and antioxidants. Also used in fuel oil, coal additives & stack SO2 absorption. Available in powder and paste form, its specifications are as follows:

• Description : Bulky white white powder, odourless

• Solubility : Practically insoluble in water and ethanol 95%. It dissolves is dilute acids

• Standard : Magnesium Hydroxide contains not less than 95% and not more than 100.5% of magnesium hydroxide

• Arsenic : Not more than 4 ppm

• Heavy Metals : Not more than 30 ppm

• Chloride : Not more than 0.1%

• Sulphate : Not more than 0.5 %

• Calcium : Not more than 1.5%

• Iron : Not more than 0.08%

• Soluble Subs. : Not more than 1.0%

• Subs. insoluble in Acetic Acid :Limit 0.05% to 0.1%

• Assay(as Mg (OH)2) : Between 95.0% and 100.5%

• Loss on Ignition : 30.0 to 32.5%

Available in light as well as heavy varieties, the range of magnesium carbonate is extensively used in antacid preparations. It also finds application in talcum/face powder, rubber, glass, inks, ready made foods products, free flow salts and varied other products. Its specifications are given below:

• Description : Very Light, white powder, odourless 15 gms. occupies about a 180 ml

• Solubility : Practically insoluble in water, dissolves in dilute acids with strong effervescence

• Standards : Light Magnesium Carbonate contains the equivalent of not less than 40% and not more than 45.0% of magnesium oxide

• Arsenic : Not more than 2 ppm

• Heavy Metals : Not more than 20 ppm

• Chloride : Not more than 0.1%

• Sulphate : Not more than 0.3%

• Calcium : Not more than 0.75%

• Copper : Nil, complies test

• Iron : Not more than 400 ppm

• Soluble substance : Not more than 1.0%

• Substance insoluble in acetic acid : Not more than 0.05%

The range of magnesium oxides is available in light & heavy grades. It is used in antacid, nutritional products along with vitamins & minerals. It also finds application in rubber, ceramics, glass industries and binding agents. Following are the specifications of our range:
