Elixir make 19” rack mountable intercom system provides 8 party channels 1 page channel to operate in the simplex mode. The party channels are selectable by mechanically inter locked latching type switches.  The common page channel is always available in receive mode irrespective of the voice channel selected. AGC circuitry provided for even output. 
 
The intercom unit is modular in construction and all modules are replaceable from front panel for easy maintenance. The unit has an elegant anodized front panel and neatly engraved for all controls. It is closed from all sides to reduce entry of dust and suitable provision is made for ventilation to dissipate internal heat. The unit is designed to with stand the operating temp range up to 50 ºC.
 
Automatic gain control unit (AGC) provides a constant output of 250mV – 500mVpp, which can be adjustable with internal threshold level preset provided internally).

Elixir make micro controller based oerator console  system consists of a phone type operator console and a micro controller operating unit.
 
It is intended for use in industrial public address system wherever the field paging stations are connected to the operator for passing on instructions during the process of manufacture.
 
The system includes two sets of operator consoles with the required relay units.  Each operator console has a dedicated group of field stations from where the operator is often consulted for suitable instructions during the process. In addition, there is a group of field stations which are common to both the operators in the sense that this group of field stations require to contact both the operators for instructions and vice versa.
 
Each operator system consists of a relay unit accommodated in a 19” sub rack; a power supply unit and a desk mounted telephone type operator console also known as Master Console Desk (MCD).
                           
The master control desk (MCD) is normally connected to the relay unit of the system through 8 core and 7core cables. The master control desk is powered with 5volt supply from the relay unit. The balance 6 core is used to carry Logic to HS, logic to E3, 24V for relay operation in MCD, Analog Ground, and Rxd Txd   for data.                 
The relay unit has two channels page and private. When a call is made between master control desk & any of the stations, both the channels get connected. Normally the operator can speak on page line using ‘Page’ key or can converse on private channel with duplex facility.

Elixir make DGPAS provides the audio inter communication between driver and guard and announcement to passenger by driver/guard. The system consists of amplifier, console with switch panel, microphone, ceiling speakers  switch panel and microphone are the parts of console. The console and amplifier are connected to the ceiling speaker (4 watts rms) in the trailer and motor coaches.  Console is the central unit of the system which connects the switch panel, microphone, amplifier and speakers.

Public Mode:  Announcement from either driver or guard to passengers shall function on first come first serve basis.

Private Mode: Communication between driver and guard can be initiated by either one of them.  Driver or guard should press the push button in switch panel; a chime tone is heard in the other cabin attracting his attention.  The other person presses the microphone switch and the private mode switch simultaneously to converse.
 
Music Mode: The music mode has the least priority and can be played by the driver or guard.  If not required, it can be reset.

It is easy to install, and the system is a network of voice transmission with emergency siren. The system provided with a facility for remote activation of emergency evacuation announcement; includes a 100 W rms amplifier unit. It can operate even during Failure of mains power.
An emergency evacuation system to meet specific needs with additional features can be designed and supplied.

Waistband megaphone is provided with an inbuilt voice recorder circuitry to record and play safety announcements  specially by mobile personnel on railway platforms. The maximum duration of recording and playback of voice message is limited to 8 minutes.  Facility for Repeat play of message provided.  Audio output of 5 W is available through the built in speaker.

Elixir make audio interface unit ECS503 is used to interface bi-directional voice lines to a commercially available standard fiber optic multiplexer system which requires 4 wires inputs. The aim of the configuration is to interface 2 wire high signal low impedance termination for a 4 wire conversion, and vice versa. The unit feeds 2 wire audio to the 8 channel communication network wired with copper cable medium.

4 Wire Tx:
Variable audio signal (2 – 16 Vpp level) is fed to the hybrid circuit of 2 wire voice line of impedance 100 - 300Ω. Half the level of the input signal is obtained at the 4 wire Tx terminals of the hybrid network. This goes through an amplifier stage and an AGC circuit. The AGC output is fed to a mute logic circuit to mute the 4 wire receiver amplifier input so that the leakage of the transmitter output into the receiver circuit is kept to the minimum.

4 Wire Rx:
The output of the fibre optic converter is fed to the 4 wire Rx terminals through a coupling transformer. The output of the transformer is fed to the buffer stage and then to an amplifier stage. The output of the amplifier stage is fed to a coupling transformer to the 4 wire Rx of the hybrid network.

Additionally the buffered output of 4 Wire Rx is fed to the AGC circuit and the output of  AGC circuit is fed to the comparator and this output is used for muting of 4 Wire Tx output when it is present.

Specifications:
Number of channels to support: 8 (with required slot provision), has  dual power supply with 230VAC 10%, 50 Hz input fed from main 1 and main 2. Provision to automatically changeover to 24 DC operation is provided (when an external DC battery is connected).

An LED blinker indicates  the activity of 4 Wire Tx and Rx port upon selection available. An LED glows when 4 Wire  Rx (hybrid) leakage exceeds a set value of 100mvpp. Probe monitoring provision for 4 Wire Rx level is available on the front panel. Elixir make pH Transmitter is an inexpensive, reliable transmitter for converting the output of pH and redox electrode to a standard current signal for measurement and control purposes. High impedance input is provided to pH electrode input.

The transmitter is mounted in weather proof enclosure suitable for field mounting. Span and range can be easily set by means of special miniature dip switch on the circuit board. Calibration is simple, using wide range asymmetry and slope correction. Current output from the transmitter is selectable for 0-20mA or 4- 20 mA. Automatic temperature compensation can be applied - 10ºC and 150º C by connecting pt 100 resistance thermometer
