Heat Recovery Steam Generator

Salient features :
  • The HRSG can be designed of Shell and tube type and also water tube type depending on the gas composition, mass and temperature.
  • Convective Superheater and Economiser integrated in the system.
  • The heating surface area calculated to give optimum output and help in maximum absorption of heat.
  • The residence time for Gases in the HRSG is optimised for effective heat recovery and excellent performance.
  • Due to moderate pressure drop on flue gas side, there is less back pressure on Gas source.

Steam Turbines

These steam turbines are mainly designed based on the process industries needs. It is custom built and is replacement to the existing Pressure reducing stations (PRS) and Pressure reducing and de-super heating stations (PRDS), which are widely used in the process industries. The basic objectives are to utilize the heat energy available in the steam rather than wasting by throttling it in PRV or PRDS.

Cogeneration Plants

These cogeneration plants are mainly designed based on the process industries needs. It is custom built based on the process steam requirement. Steam is generated in the boiler at high pressure and superheated to the required level and then passed through the back pressure turbine wherein the back pressure is set for Process pressure requirement. The turbine can be coupled either to the alternator or induction generator, depending on the steam and power consumption pattern of the process.

Turbine Based Cogeneration Plants

These steam turbine based cogeneraton plants are mainly designed to cater to the steam requirement as well as to meet the power demand. It is custom built in such a way that whatever power that can be generated through back pressure process is utilized first, and the balance power requirement is generated by condensing the required quantity of steam. Steam is generated in the boiler at high pressure and superheated to the required level and then passed through the extraction cum back pressure turbine wherein the back pressure is set for Process pressure requirement. The turbine can be coupled either to the alternator or induction generator, depending on the steam and power consumption pattern of the process.

Inlet pressure : Maximum 67 Kgs/cm² 580ºC Superheat.
Back pressure : Maximum 8 Kgs/cm².

Maximum : 100 tons/hr

Biomass Based Power Plants

Power plants based on Biomass as fuel. Fuel like Paddy husk, Groundnut shell, Fire wood, Bagasse and other Agrowaste & Municipal waste is burnt in biomass fired boiler to generate steam at high pressure. The steam thus generated, is further superheated to remove moisture and then passed through a condensing steam turbine. Steam coming out of Turbine is passed through a Condenser which creates a negative guage pressure in the turbine, so that maximum output is extracted from the turbine. The condensate coming out of the Condensor is pumped back to the boiler circuit by Condensate evacuation pumps.

Coal Based Power Plants

Coal based power plants based on coal as fuel. Fuel like Indian coal and imported coal is burnt in boiler to generate steam at high pressure. The steam thus generated, is further superheated to remove moisture and then passed through a condensing steam turbine. Steam coming out of Turbine is passed through a condenser which creates a negative gauge pressure in the turbine, so that maximum output is extracted from the turbine. The condensate coming out of the condenser is pumped back to the boiler circuit by condensate evacuation pumps.

Heat Recovery Steam Generator Based Power Plants

In most of process industry, waste heat is generated which is utilized in generating the steam through a waste heat recovery boiler. The steam so generated, if not required in the plant process could be utilized through a condensing steam turbine and generator. This would generate power which could be used for captive consumption. In case the power generation is in excess of plant requirement, then by synchronizing with grid the excess power so generated can be fed to the grid. In case the power generated is less than the plant demand then, differential power could be drawn from the infinite grid.
