Stainless Steel Gratings
GI Smith Engineering Manufactures Stainless Steel Gratings of various sizes and specifications. The raw materials used for manufacturing of gratings shall confirmed to AISI 304/ AISI316 OR 309, OR as per your requirement.

Manufacturing Process :

The gratings are assembled and welded as per specifications. For finishing purpose the gratings shall be acid washed & electropolished to achieve the best finishing.

Galvanized Gratings
The mild steel gratings are hot deep galvanized in the galvanizing bath. The galvanizing bath has got 7 tank surface cleaning process, the purity of the zinc used for hot deep galvanizing shall be 99.95 % pure. The galvanized coating shall be as per IS -3202 / IS – 4759 / IS – 2629 / IS – 2633/ IS – 6745, ASTM –A -123 or equivalent to international standards. We also provide hot deep galvanized up to 128 microns of zinc coating on special request.

Heavy Duty Gratings

GI Smith Engineering manufacturers heavy duty gratings to extra heavy duty gratings ranging from 65 mm X 8 mm flat to 200 mm X 20 mm flats. These gratings are suitable for bearing the load of 40 toner trailer to 200 ton Jumbo-Jet Aircraft. These gratings are hot deep galvanized to 120 microns zinc coating thickness to have a longer replacement life up to 15-20 years.

Manufacturing Process:
The basic pultrusion process involves:
  • Pulling of continuous fibres through a resin bath, blended with a catalyst and then into a pre forming fixture where the section is partially pre-shaped and excess resin is removed.
  • It is then processed through a heated die which determines the sectional geometry and finishes of the final product.
  • A flying cut-off saw is programmed to cut the product to the desired length.

 Perforated Type Cable Tray

Our range of perforated or ventilated trays is offered in drilled and perforated channels. Available in 50 mm lengthwise and a minimum of 25 mm crosswise, the perforated type cable trays are available at widths from 50 mm to 1200 mm and are designed for standard support span of 2, 500 mm. The perforated type cable trays are made of HR sheets and also from pre galvanised sheets with various thickness and flange heights.

Materials : Mild steel, Pre galvanised
Finish : Hot dip glavanised, Red oxide, Enamel painted & Power coated.
