Our air pollution control systems, containing scrubbers, which control air
pollution from stationary sources. These air pollution control equipments employ a liquid medium generally
water, to remove particulate and gaseous contaminants from the exhaust
by washing. From the application point of view, scrubbers can be
classified in to 3 broad categories namely Fume Extraction Systems,
Pneumatic Dust Handling Systems and Thermal Utility Systems.

The effluent treatment plants are designed to treat the effluent coming from
different areas of the plant. The treatment of different effluents
varies with the type of effluent. Water effluent treatment systems are designed to treat effluent mainly
containing oily effluent. The  water from the Transformer Area,
Turbine building, Workshop etc., is collected in common collection sump
from where water is pumped through the Plate Interceptor.

Domestic waste water management systems of any city consists of
collection, treatment and disposal. In conventional centralized sewage
treatment plants, about 80% of the cost is accounted for the
collection. The cost of collection of sewage and its conveyance to the
terminal point in the large cities is very high. Further, the depth of
sewer goes on increasing with the increase of length of sewer line and
pumping of the sewage at the intermediate and terminal points requires
a lot of energy. In centralized sewage treatment systems, volume of the sewage
becomes very large and the distance of conveyance, as the industrial sewage
treatment plants are generally located outside of the cities, is very
long. Further CTS aggravates the environmental problem also, because of
large volume of the waste water of the entire city is discharged at one
