Mono-filament Screen Printing Fabric : It is made from single filament. The (benefits) salient features of polyester mono-filament Screen Printing Fabric are as follows:
The (benefits) advantages of polyester mono-filament Screen Printing Fabric are as follows:
Mono fabric is made of mono-filament (Single strand) polyester yarn.
Mono has a more abrasion resistant as compared to multi-filament polyester fabric
Mono has a very high resistance to stretching and thereby ensuring an exact register
The synthetic yarns offered for the garment and upholstery trades (curtains, furnishing fabrics, carpets), as well as the cheaper stencil fabrics, used to some extent for screen printing textiles, are all of mulfifilament (multiple - stand) yarn. Similarly, the natural silk screen fabrics formerly used a almost exclusively in screen prinitng are also multifilament. The best screen printing fabrics, whether of polymide (nylon) or polyester (Terylene, Dacron, Tergal, Terital) are all woven from monofilament (single - strand) yarns.
Nylon Screen Printing Fabric is made from mono and multifilament yarn of suitable Denier (particularly for textiles) according to the requirement. But now-a-days only mono-filament yarn is used for making Screen Printing Fabric. However, following are the limitations and disadvantages with multi-filament yarn.
Because of elasticity in the yarn, the fixing of the design will not remain proper after some printing length.
Achieving higher lengths is very difficult during production.
Nylon (a rather sensitive to acids) will be attracted or dissolved by acids (depending upon concentration and temperature). Many textile printers have therefore, switched over to Polyester fabric for screen printing.
Multi-filament fabric Screen Printing Fabric is made from suitable Denier as per requirement. In our opinion, the best quality is the fabric made from the minimum filaments.
In India, multi-filament Polyester Screen Printing Fabric is being used as it has the following advantages:
Exact register
It is not affected by usual temperature fluctuation or by humidity. Thus, exact register is maintained till end of the printing process.
Large size printing
This fabric is very resistant to most mineral acids, resistant to weak lyes but dissolution by strong alkalis at higher temperatures.
a) Fabric made from two filaments (HD) and available in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 & 140 mesh sizes.
(b) Fabric made from single strand in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 140, 160, 200 mesh size are our regular products and are available as per requirement in width up to 140" – Regular-45", 68" and 92"
All the above fabrics are manufactured for textile screen making. These fabrics are also used for filter cloth in gum industry, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical industries as well as Dairies.
We have recently started manufacturing of higher mesh fabric in polyester for graphics printing. This fabric of international standard quality is woven on Sulzer looms, thereby, leaving no scope for any inconsistency in the quality of the product.
Besides, Polyester Screen Printing Fabric in fine mesh woven from Sulzer looms is also available for graphic screen making
Polyester Multi-filament Screen Printing Fabric in 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140 mesh size available in different widths woven using Denier and filament as per requirement of the fabric
