PCD / PCBN Cutting Tools

ESKAYJAY   Reamers are used to enlarge the hole with in close tolerance range, with high surface finish, concentricity and cylindricity. Metal removal rate is very less during reaming.Optimum condition is to remove 0.25mm from each side.                                             

ESKAYJAY Reamers are available in different shank diameters: The diameters are 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 22, 25, and 32.00

ESKAYJAY end mills have shank and straight flute with PCD tip. Metal removal rate is high in the case of End mills when compared with Reamers.

                        ESKAYJAY End mills are used for both sides milling and facing. For facing purpose the End mill have the same design as that for Reamers.

                        ESKAYJAY Form tools are like grooving tools. Using form tools makes special profiles, chamfers or tapered slots. According to the profile the form tools are designed.

                               ESKAYJAY Diamond products have been providing the turning inserts for turning of components cylindrical specification in outside and also we have been providing the boring inserts for  boring of components cylindrical specification in Inside.

From the above detail the last location is Nose Radius. In any ISO specification has number in the last location it is called as Turning or Boring Insert. Turning or Boring

Operations are doing with help of nose radius.

ESKAYJAY have been using for milling the component surface as well as the side’s. The inserts are fitted in the cutter and it is working with more than one inserts at a time. Here the wiper edges are used to remove the metal from work piece instead of nose radius used in turning and boring operations. The ISO Specification of milling inserts as follows.

Any ISO Specification of the inserts is having Letters (Wiper Edge Details) in last location is called as Milling Inserts.

The Milling operations are differ as per the application

1. Face Milling       
2. Peripheral Milling

 Face Milling

                        The cutting edges are on the Periphery and Face of cutter. The surface generated is parallel to the face of the cutter. Overhang of the cutter is limited, for better flatness and dimension control.

Peripheral Milling

The cutting edges are on the Periphery of cutter. The milled surfaces are parallel to the cutter.

Mostly we are supplying in face milling application

                     ESKAYJAY Milling Cartridges are used for face milling, Bore milling and corner milling operations. Cartridges are fitted on the cutter. There are 3 different types of milling cartridges.

ESKAYJAY Grooving Tool is used to create the Grooves in piston for fixing of Oil and Pressure rings. These tools are manufacture as per the customer drawing with our manufacturing standards. Grooving tools are differing as per the usage in the application.

1.      Form Grooving (Plunge Grooving)

Form Grooving

                        These tools are used to form the grooves in the pistons .The width of the tools are equal to width of the grooves, which we have to maintain in the component. In this case the width is very critical.

Generation Grooving

                        These tools are used to generate the grooves in the piston. The width of the tools should be less than the width of the grooves that we have to maintain in the component.

                        These tools are used to form the all grooves in the piston such as Oil and Pressure rings groove. While manufacture these tools are different pieces and in tool setting these pieces are fixing with one holder.

            In this case the distance between the grooves and the groove widths are critical. Gang grooving is only the form grooving

• Pay Mode Terms: D/A (Documents Against Acceptance)

In this type of tools are normally used in boring operation. This tool is having fine adjusting arrangement to increase the length of the tool, Micro Boring tools are fitted on the boring bar. One tool can be used for a range of bore sizes. A PCD or PCBN tip is brazed on the tool. A dial is provided with the tool.

 ESKAYJAY customers are using the boring tools (Shank Tools) instead of boring inserts. The boring tools are fixed in the boring bars.

The main advantage in boring tool is the end forming of the component.

We are supplying the boring tools against the customer drawings and also design as per customer requirement.

These types of tools are used in vertical machining center and in special purpose machine (SPM).

ESKAYJAY customers are using turning tools (Shank Tools) is directly fixed the tip in the shank. Turning tools are two different categories  

                        1. Normal Turning

                        2. Tangential Turning

Normal Turning Tools:

                        This is the standard turning tool in ESKAYJAY, which is used for standard turning procedure, and it is working by single point .The PCD/PCBN tips is directly brazed in the square or double flatted cylindrical shanks.

                        ESKAYJAY tools are used in machine with out any accessories to fix in the tool post. 

Tangential Turning Tools:

                        This is used in some special application like commutate machining and interrupted cut application. This operation is also called Shaving. The main application of Tangential Turning tool is commutate machining and interruption on periphery. And it is working only above the center.

In normal turning, only the single point is work but in tangential turning multipoint is work at a time.
