Eureka Enterprises was incorporated in 1990 and has grown from strength for more than one & half decade. Strict and continous development with R & D work over quality, product diversification along with competitive price has been hallmark of our factory.
Mr. D. K. Ghosh worked in a no. of mills in W. B. and outside Bengal. Over there he started operation R & D and could earn good name in cost reduction and quality development through floor experience and research work in forest research Institute in Derahdoon & I. P. T. Saharanpur under Roorkee University. Mr. Ghosh started thinking of not selling his hard earned knowledge to others but to depend on his own self as boss and be job provider at least a few. He started his venturous chemical unit under the title "Eureka Enterprises".
He picked up this rural sector as he found the people are very simple non political and very much sympathetic. Moreover for chemical factory with R & D, less polluted area with so many greeneries are needed. More to say that co-relation of agriculture and industry was always a slogan of our National leaders who always preferred rural sector development which covers about 80% of Indian Soil.
Eureka enterprises was the first unit in this area ( Pioneer ) and there are now about 200 SSI units under his leadership as president consecutively for 14 years.
He started his factory initially with already developed Chemicals-cooking agent, whitening agent & Defoamer. In his R & D he started developing many more chemicals to face competitive market as import sustitute item and for his success in the market he was awarded.
Demand started coming to Eureka how could they help the local farmers for the chemicals they are using with high price. As open market policy was unaviodably accepted from 1st. January 1995, strong competetion & challenge was started in the market. Diversification with updated technology for cost reduction and quality developing was felt after 1998 and Eureka started fresh R & D work for developing chemical for agriculture. Tea is a potential corp of India. Demand also started coming from that Industries for developing chemicals they are using. For those chemicals they were only dependable on foreign buyers.
Our R & D work has been extended to develop chemicals for tea gardens to enhance Yield & quality with less price & save foreign exchange. Trial in Tea Plantation was successful and the product was commercialized. Then in 2001 Eureka was awarded excellence certificate from "FOSMI" holding 1st. position in rural sector of West Bengal under the chairmanship of Sir Viren J. Shah the then Governor of West Bengal.
Then our factory was ISO certified and BSI approved al our endeavor for quality development. They were appreciative of our continous effort for upgradation of process for productivity, cost reduction and quality upgradation to international standard.
We are never complacent what we have achieved. Development is a continous process and our mission is to save foreign currency through developing import substitutes for which there is quest for constant effort in our in house R & D, plant & field application by a team of experts and outside consultants.We have confidence we will succeed at large other than our present achievement.
