About UsEWAS was founded a few years back by Senior Engineers with extensive experience in Electronic Warfare, Radar and Avionics domain which constitutes the core competency of the firm. The founding team developed and fielded systems, subsystems and operational support tools such as ATE, GSE and EW Integration Rigs and successfully managed major programs from concept to delivery in the above areas. EWAS has built and nurtured a pool of hardware and software engineers (50 + in size) capable of executing design, development and production of EW subsystems, Embedded software and Pre-Flight Message Generators (PFMG). The software team developed and delivered several PFMG products for fighter aircraft and other airborne platforms. The hardware team has engineered and delivered a modern ATE for an airborne EW system and is currently engaged in building a laboratory integration rig for an airborne EW system. The subsystems that EWAS has fielded include, amongst others, a Video Interface Unit which assists in switching receiving channels to overcome masking effects, EW suite controllers, high performance EW processor boards, RF Digital Receiver Boards, DRFM Controllers and Special To Type Test Equipment ( STTE ) for the subsystems. EWAS has capabilities to undertake development and production of subsystems (RF and digital) meeting all the avionics standards. EWAS has established a good network of competent outsources where part of production is got done, ensuring quality adherence and EWAS concentrates its efforts on integration of parts into a system/ subsystem, Test and Evaluation , Acceptance Testing & ESS of the subsystem/LRU before delivery to the customer. |

Happenings / News / Press CoverageElectronic Warfare (EW) systems are controlled by the Operational Flight Program (OFP) software executing in the system’s main computer. OFP so deals with the prevailing threat scenario that the pilot is audio-visually warned regarding the threats to his platform and the counter measure responses to the threatening emitters are activated. These tasks are optimally handled by the OFP by referring to flight line programmable Pre-Flight Messages (PFMs) loaded into the EW system. The PFMs are built by Mission planners with the EW Mission Plan Generator (EWMPG). This paper describes EWMPG developed at DARE for an airborne EW system.
