Excel Books was established in 1993 on the advice of two eminent professors of management, Prof. B.S.Sharma and Prof. A bad Ahmad both from the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.


They had found an acute shortage of good Indian management books and thus this need led to the formation of Excel Books.


Over the years, efforts have gone into making our textbooks extremely user friendly in terms of their language, pedagogy and design.


This has led to an increasing awareness of our books among students and the academic fraternity.

We have tried and are still trying to match the benchmarks set by various renowned foreign publishers and have succeeded with many titles replacing foreign titles and being recommended at the top institutes of the country including the IIM?s and IIT?S.

It is never ending effort to keep our readers informed of the latest developments in the management arena and we are going about it an earnest way.

Excel Books has publishing arrangements with leading institutions throughout the country, which has led to greater brand building over the years.

In its endeavor to excel and be the best in its field, Excel Books has taken a very innovative step 2 years back by producing and marketing multimedia CD's containing lectures, Power Points and transcription of some of the best minds in the corporate world.

This has been an extremely innovative step in its endeavor and has got excellent response both from the academic and the corporate communities.

For the first few years, the concentration was on publishing good professional books for the managers but during the past 10 years, the direction changed towards publishing good management textbooks by Indian authors from premier institutions throughout the country.
