Tricho-XPTM

Tricho-XP is a fungus for control of soil borne diseases. It is very effective against soil – borne diseases like root rot, rhizome rot, collar rot, stem rot, damping off, wilt, etc.

 

Mode of Action:

Once Trichoderma viride condia comes in contact with the target host the germs tube grow tropically towards hyphae of the other fungi, coil around them in a lectin – medicated reaction, degrading the cell wall of the target fungus and feeding from their nutrients.

 
Method of application
Seed Treatment:

To prevent seed borne diseases, use 5-10 gm of Tricho-XPTM per kg of seed. Add to it small quantity of water to make slurry for seed coating just before planting.

 
Nursery Application

To prevent seeding rot and damping off diseases, use 500 gm of Tricho-XPTM mixed with 50 kg CelrichTM or any stabilized organic manure and then applies the mixture in nursery beds for raising nursery for one acre crop. Drench the nursery beds with Tricho-XPTM @ 5gm per liter of water.

 

Soil Treatment & Standing Crops

To control soil borne fungal disease and plant parasitic nematodes, use 1-2kg of Tricho-XPTM with 100kg of CelrichTM or any stabilized organic manure and then apply the mixture in the furrows or by broadcasting in one crop.

SudocelTM

SudocelTM is manufactured from Pseudomonas fluorescens a natural soil inhabiting bacterium that controls many fungal diseases. SudocelTM is effective against foliar diseases like- blast, sheath rot, seedling blight, brown spots and leaf spots; soil-borne diseases like- damping off, panama wilts etc. SudocelTM produces growth factors like IAA, which contribute to the vigorous growth of the crop.

 

Mode of Action

Protection & Prevention

This bacterium mainly inhabit root zone (rhizosphere) of the crop and their growth is highly influenced by the root exudates of the crop. Pseudomonas fluorescens produces siderospore, which chelates with iron and make it difficult for pathogenic organisms to proliferate by interfering with the germination of fungal spores. 

Pseudomonas fluorescens Secretes an enzyme, which is capable of dissolving the cell walls of the fungus and forms a protective coat on the leaf surface.

 
Improves soil fertility

In the soil Pseudomonas fluorescens transforms proteins into Amino acids, reduces sulphur and decomposes cellulose. Pseudomonas fluorescens produces growth factors like IAA, which contribute to the vigorous growth of the crop, fixes atmospheric nitrogen non-symbiotically and solublises inorganic phosphate especially tri calcium phosphate.

 
Method of Application

Seed Treatment – Effectively controls seed-borne diseases. Soak the seed in 1% solution, dry under shade and use for sowing.


Seedling Root dip – Dissolve 1kg of SudocelTM in 50 liters of water. Dip the root portion of the seedling for 5minutes and transplant thereafter.

Soil Application – Mix 2kg.  SudocelTM with 100kg of matured organic manure like CelrichTM and spread in one acre uniformly before sowing or transplanting.

VerticelTM

VerticelTM is a biological insecticide manufactured from Verticillium lecanii, naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus. VerticelTM is a effective against all soft bodied sucking insect pests like aphids, thrips, mealy, bugs, whitefly, scale insects and all types of mites.

 

Mode of Action

The spores of Verticillium lecanii gets attached to the cuticle of the insects on contact. The fungus gains entry through the cuticle by enzymes. It infects insects by producing hyphae from germinating spores that penetrate the insect integument.

The fungus then destroys the internal body contents resulting in the mortality of insects. The fungus eventually grows through the insect cuticle and sporulates on the body of the insects to produce cyclosipeptide toxin called Bassianolide, which kills the insect in 4-6 days. Larve and pupae die before the fungus is visible. Dead larvae and pupae are light to dark yellow, wrinkled and no longer shiny. Under favorable conditions white fungal fluffy mycelium appears on the infected insects. The organisms grow best at 20-30oC and at a relative humidity above 65%.

LarvocelTM

LarvocelTMis broad spectrum biological insecticide made of Beauveria bassiana, a naturally occurring entomopathogenic fungus. Beauveria bassiana is fungus, which causes a disease known as the white muscadine in insects. LarvocelTM  is used for the control of various insect pest like Bollworms- Heliothis and Spodoptera, fruit borers, root grubs, internodes borers, berry borers, short borers, beetles and tea mosquito bugs.

 

Mode of Action:

Once the spores of Beauveria bassiana come in contact with the cuticle (skin) of susceptible insects, they germinate and grow into their bodies.

The fungi multiply rapidly inside the insect and spread throughout the insect body causing death due to tissue destruction and by secretion of toxins inside the body of the insect. The fungi emerge out the infected insect for sporulation and these spores are disseminated in the air which provide as an incoulum for infection of other insects. Infected insect stop feeding thereby reducing further crop damage. As a result of these effects, LarvocelTM spary limits pest incidence in any crop below the economic threshold level once the organism gets established in the ecosystem. Regular spraying of LarvocelTM ensures a protective coating of these beneficial fungi on the surface of leaves and stems and the invasion of the pests is effectively arrested.

Azacel 3000TM

Azacel 3000TM is a versatile broad spectrum botanical insecticide. Its active ingredient “Azadirachtin” is extracted from the Neem tree “Azadirachta indica Juss” seeds and it is formulated as emulsifiable concentrate.

Azacel 3000TM  is used for the control of various insect pests like Mites, Jassids, Aphids, White fly, Bollworms, Spodoptera, green leaf hopper, brown leaf hopper, Tea mosquito, Colorado potato beetle, rice root weevil, etc.

 

Mode of Action

Varied modes of action are noticed such as:

Anti-feedant - Insects stop feeding on the surface treated with azadirachtin.

Repellent - The odor repels the insects.

Growth regulatory - Azadirachtin ingested, young insects do not reach adulthood but become malformed miniature adults.

It prolongs the larval stage. Evidences suggest that azadirachtin interferes with the morphogenetic and neuro-endocrine system.

Ovipositor Effect - Azadirachtin treated area prevents insects from laying eggs and reduces egg laying activities drastically.

Effect on fertility and reproduction - Azadirachtin is known to be an ecdysis inhibitor and also found to affect vitellogenesis, which leads to oocyte maturity. Marked reduction in fecundity is observed.
