Impurities In Water
All the impurities that can be present in water can be listed broadly as follows:
- Suspended impurities like clay silt, bacteria, algae, protozoa that cause odour, colour and turbidity.
- Dissolved inorganic impurities that include bicarbonate, carbonate, sulphate and chloride of calcium, magnesium and sodium.
- Metals and oxide like manganese, iron oxide, lead, arsenic etc.
- Acids formed by gases like carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphate etc.

Water Treatment
Water is very essential for the
survival of living beings as well as it is most vital fluid to run

contains dissolved minerals, organic matters and suspended matters,
