This position reports directly to the Managing Director for North Asia and holds a fiduciary responsibility to Fairchild Industrial Products Company USA via their CFO. The incumbent is responsible for planning, managing and coordinating the operations of Fairchild China including managing the use of materials, documentation, safety, security, and human resources as well as responsible for preparing financial information and ensuring financial controls are met in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Major Job Duties
Responsible for all activities relating to warehousing such as physical receipt and dispatch of materials, stock maintenance, delivery of materials on a timely basis, and physical inventory management. Direct the operation with a fully integrated ERP System.
Responsible for materials management relating to supply chain management, replenishment, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to meet customer requirements. Maintain proper documentation flow in support of all supply chain activities such as purchase orders, receipts, etc. Focus on accurate pricing, duty and tax accountability. Ensure proper levels of inventory are maintained.
Manage incoming and outgoing logistics. Must be knowledgeable in cargo tariffs and commercial tax rules and regulations. Ensure all statutory compliances are met. Deal with customs and governmental authorities as required.
Implement quality management programs as directed to ensure the highest standards of quality while accomplishing the cost and profit goals of the Company.
Work with a cross functional team and liaise with external customers, suppliers, sales team and FIPC personnel.
Responsible for optimizing space, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and implementing appropriate process standards. Develop and maintain safety and security programs and activities which are in the best interest of the Company, our people, and our products.
Continually review and monitor all systems to ensure adequate control. Ensure that operating expenses are within the allocated budget and make recommendations to reduce operational costs where appropriate. Maintain proper accounting of all transactions.
Ensure complete and reliable data accuracy through maintenance of documentation, communication and systems data.
Manage the accounts receivable process, follow up on collection issues, and project timing of future collections where appropriate.
Responsible for the training and motivating of associates within Operations. Ensure processes are adhered to and accuracy is maintained by all team members.
Responsible for understanding and implementing acceptable Chinese accounting methods and work with Fairchild U.S. to maintain compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Practices. Responsible for working with public and state auditors as required. Responsible for accurately reporting, implementing, and minimizing custom duties and VAT taxes.
Process monthly closing while working in an ERP system which interfaces with Fairchild U.S.
Education and Training Required
Four year accounting/financial degree or equivalent field experience required with China National Accounting Certification. CPA a plus but not required.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skill Required
Three to five years experience in finance and operations-related experience is required. Must have strong IT skills and proficient with Excel, Word, and e-mail systems. Must have good oral and written communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

Job Summary

Working from and in accordance with blueprints, operation sheets or verbal instructions, inspect and perform all necessary inspection/testing operations on any and all purchased and production parts and assemblies, related to transducers, pneumatic regulators, boosters, relays, and other related controls.

Assist Fairchild China Commercial Officer with general accounting tasks including custom duties, cargo tariffs, accounts receivable process and collections.
In conjunction with the China Commercial Officer, responsible for materials management relating to supply chain management, replenishment, storage, control and distribution of materials and products to meet customer requirements. Maintain proper documentation flow in support of all supply chain activities such as purchase orders, receipts, etc. Ensure proper levels of inventory are maintained.
Through reading and application of engineering prints, work instruction sheets, bills of materials, tooling cards, manufacturing test specifications, and ISO 9001 procedures and general instructions, inspect and test any and all pneumatic regulators, boosters, relays, transducers, and other related controls, parts, and assemblies.
Set up and operate equipment, tools, test stands, and other related assembly fixtures and test fixtures in accordance with engineering prints, work instruction sheets, bills of material, tooling cards, manufacturing test specifications, and ISO 9001 procedures and general instructions.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faulty production and customer return items. Report operating difficulties to immediate supervisor. Set up, calibrate and use all necessary precision measuring instruments to diagnose, repair, and service products. Perform layouts and inspections of tools, fixtures, and gages as required.
Provide support for the North Asia Managing Director and the Commercial Officer as required. Maintain routine departmental reports, general records, etc. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Education and Training Required
Degree in business or commerce-related field is preferred.
Experience, Knowledge and Skill Required
One to two years experience in warehouse operations or materials management-related experience is preferred. Background in engineering, assembly and test procedures preferably with pneumatic products. Proficient PC office skills required. Good command of oral and written English is preferred.
