The body of the unbraided corrugated hoses tends to elongate when it is pressurized above a certain level. An external layer of stainless steel wire braiding is provided to the hose, in order to restrain this. The longitudinal expansion of corrugated hose is prevented by raiding. Therefore the internal pressure strength of the hose increases many fold. Braiding being highly flexible is able to exactly follow the hose movements.
