LeadershipJosé Maria Alapont (President & Chief Executive Officer)
José Maria Alapont has been president, chief executive officer and a director of the company since March 2005. Mr. Alapont served as chairman of the board of directors of the company from 2005 to 2007. He has more than 35 years of global leadership experience in both vehicle manufacturers and suppliers with business and operations responsibilities in the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions.
Mr. Alapont, between 2003 and 2005, was chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Fiat IVECO, the manufacturer of light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, engines, passenger transport, defense and fire-fighting vehicles.
William Bowers (Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing)
William (Steve) Bowers is senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, a member of the Strategy Board and an officer of Federal-Mogul Corporation.
Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Bowers spent nearly 30 years at General Motors Corp. and Delphi Corp., most recently as executive director of sales, marketing and planning for the energy and chassis division. Previously, he was based in Tokyo, Japan, as the Asia-Pacific regional director for Delphi’s energy and chassis systems. He was responsible for all aspects of the business for the China, India, Japan, Korea, Australia and Saudi Arabia markets, including manufacturing operations, customer service and engineering centers.
