Capstan Lathe (BI-32 and BI-38)

Our Capstan lathe is of modern concept and has been designed for rapid and mass production of small components upto 32-38 mm dia steel, non ferrous or plastics materials. It can also be used for re-handling work. Much thought has been given to handy manipulation of the operating levers. It consists of: Lathe Frame Utilized' construction of bed and body of the lathe assures rigidity 15 litre capacity lubricant tank is incorporated in the base. In Audition, a storage cabinet for tools and accessories has been also provided. Headstock The hardened spindle having 32mm dia. hole is carried in precision taper roller bearing and ensures vibrationless working even at high speeds, an easy and accurate adjustment enables taking up the play. The collets are of the standard type currently used by all reading manufacturers of automatic lathes. The lathe can also be provided with chuck of 3 or 4 jaws needed for working cast or forged pieces of special and peculiar shapes. Turret Carriage The upper carriage is guided on large long adjustable bed-ways, provided for wear adjustment allowing the observance of the most close tolerance required by the Norms. The hexagonal turret has a double centering. The external one tapered. The rotation of the turret is automatically affected at the end of the return stroke. The rotation of drum, carrying six adjustable stops, is synchronized with the rotation of the turret. The index plate and bolt are of hardened and ground steel. The to-and-fro motion drive of affected by a capstan wheel provided with a vernier graduated in mm and inches with a facility of bringing back to zero. Taper Turning Slide The taper turning slide can be moved 60mm forward or backward or at inclination upto 250 for taper turning. Adjustable stops are provided in each direction. Bar Feed Attachment The counter-weight is driven by the small counter pulley and Bar Pusher is driven by the big counter pulley. Motor Drive The machine is motor driven through V-belts with adjustable tension. The change-over multipolar motor normally used allows the speed of 700/1400 R.P.M. Horizontal Surface Grinder (Hydraulic and Manually Operated)

The Finex Horizontal Surface Grinder is by-far the most advanced, state-of-the-art grinding machine. Built to accommodate various tools, it meets the most exacting requirements for tool grinding, die-grinding and various other allied jobs. Salient Features Spindle is supported at front on precision Angular Contact Bearings and at the rear by Ball Bearing. The assembly is housed in a rigid Head. The angular contact bearings can be adjusted using the nut-arrangement. Nipples are provided at both bearings for periodic greasing. Table is ground finished to ensure a high degree of accuracy. Longitudinal feed is provided through the Rack and Pinion mechanism while cross feed is through Nut-Screw mechanism. Table and Cross Slide Guides beneath the table are nickle-chrome hardened to minimize wear and tear and to ensure long lasting accuracy. Hardened steel balls provided below this guides ensure smooth movement of the table, that in turn eliminates operator fatigue. Finex hydraulic surface grinders are fitted with a compact hydraulic power pack with an exclusively designed control unit incorporated within the body of the machine. Air is automatically expelled from within the system during running of the machine. The machine is loaded with light pressure and the oil filler is easily accessible for maintenance.
