Capillary Rheometer

Capillary Rheometer

We offer in our wide range of products international quality standards Capillary Rheometer. This is a new product in the market and is specifically used to study the viscosity of molten polymers. Owing to its varied features, it facilitates quick QC testing or detailed rigorous research. Its utility increases when combined with Kars Lab data processing software package and Microsoft Excel and produces a data analysis platform with standards workbooks like Non-linear curve fitting, Rabinowitsch and Bagley corrections, and SQC analysis. Also, an 'one click,' button facility helps in easy custom plot production. It can easily perform the tasks like graph presentation of viscosity vs. shear rate, viscosity vs. shear stress and thermal degradation vs. time.

Its major application is in the continuous measurement of the melt flow or apparent viscosity in the manufacturing process. The FCR system consists of two parts

 

1) The Rheometer

In our product range, we also have Automatic Sample Notchers. These are an effective tool used in specimen preparation for impact testing of plastics and related material. The offered product range is in adherence with varied quality standards such as ASTM D256, ISO 180, DIN 53753, BS 2782, JIS K 6871, and UNI 6323. This can be adjusted to all feed rates and cutter speed which keeps the sample unstressed during its preparation and thereby it is suitable for material of varying hardness and softness. Owing to its verification tester, it also provides easy and convenient checking of notched specimens.   • Tests are performed with plastic sliding over itself or against other surfaces such as stainless steel
  • It has features like rugged construction
  • Fixed sled speed of 6 inches per minute as per the ASTM standard D1894
  • Optional alternative fixed sled speeds of up to 20 inches per minute
  • Mechanical gauge of 500 grams full scale as standard, with options for up to 25 kilograms full scale
  • The gauge can be configured to capture static(starting) friction, or kinetic(sliding) friction

 

Model D1055D

  • Using a digital force gauge, it provides an accurate and repeatable test of the static and kinetic friction of plastic films and sheets
  • Tests can be performed with plastic sliding over itself or against other surfaces such as stainless steel
  • Rugged construction and a fixed sled speed of 6 inches per minute as per the ASTM standard D1894
  • Optional alternative fixed sled speeds of up to 20 inches per minute
  • Digital force gauge with 0.1 grams force resolution, and 250 grams full scale as standard
  • Optional digital force gauges are available for up to 25 kilograms full scale
  • The gauge can be configured to capture static(starting) friction, or kinetic(sliding) friction
  • The D1055D also features a 0.0-2.0 VDC analogue output and RS232 communications, for connection to a chart recorder or a computer.

 

Model D5095

  • The D5095 provides an accurate and repeatable test of the static and kinetic friction of plastic films and sheets, with a variable speed drive
  • Tests can be performed with plastic sliding over itself or against other surfaces such as stainless steel
  • According to ASTM standard D1894, this has a rugged construction and a variable sled speed from 1 - 20 inches per minute
  • Mechanical gauge of 500 grams full scale as standard, with options for up to 25 kilograms full scale
  • The gauge can be configured to capture static(starting) friction, or kinetic(sliding) friction

 

Model D5095D

  • It also gives an accurate and repeatable test of the static and kinetic friction of plastic films and sheets, with a variable speed drive
  • Tests can be performed with plastic sliding over itself or against other surfaces such as stainless steel
  • Rugged construction and a variable sled speed from 1 – 20 inches per minute
  • The D5095D features a digital force gauge with 0.1 grams force resolution, and 250 grams full scale as standard
  • Optional digital force gauges are available for up to 25 kilograms full scale
  • The gauge can be configured to capture static(starting) friction, or kinetic(sliding) friction
  • The D5095D also features a 0.0-2.0 VDC analogue output and RS232 communications, for connection to a chart recorder or a computer

the two types of hdt/vicat systems are:

hdv 1

  • the hdv1 hdt/vicat system is designed for testing astm d648 and d1525, as well as, iso 75 and 306 test methods
  • the system includes insulated stainless steel bath immersion heater with a 300°c maximum temperature and a programmable pid temperature control for selected rise rates of 50° c/hour or 2° c/minute
  • specimen test frames includes a dial indicator, astm 2° thermometer, and a variable weight set including 1100, 500, 100, 50, 10, 5, 1 gm weights and 2 each - 200, 20, 2 gm weights for a total of 2210 gm per station
  • hdt foot, vicat adapter, cooling coil and bath drain are also included as standard specifications

hdv 3

  • the hdv3 hdt/vicat system is designed for testing ease using the sophisticated technology of windows-based software
  • the windows-based software offers testing for two to six stations on multiple hdv3 systems
  • utilizing the windows operating system, the hdv3 control and analysis software offers easy setup, operation, analysis and calibration
  • the simple setup page allows the operator to run either industry defined or custom defined test methods
  • the astm d648 and d1525, as well as, iso 75 and 306 test methods are programmed into the software
  • when using one or more of these tests, the operator only needs to select the test method and all other specifications appear automatically
  • the software is capable of performing any combination of hdt or vicat tests, provided that temperature rise rates for the bath are identical for the different tests
  • the software also calculates exact specimen loading based on specimen dimensions
  • simple and precise, the software provides fool-proof test setup
