| | Falling Weight Impact Testers | We also offer a wide range of Falling Weight Impact Tester Products. These are used to measure the relative ranking of material with respect to the energy required to crack or break flat, rigid plastic specimens or coated panels in varied conditions of impact upon a striker by a falling weight. Designed to as per ASTM Test Standard D5420 (formerly ASTM D3029), these offer a mean to determine the failure of polymers in controlled conditions. These are used to figure out the impact resistance of plastics, laminates, paints, lacquers, varnishes, plating and siding. The most commonly used drop column is 42 in (106 cm) whereas other drop columns are also available. As per the requirements of ASTM D4226, D3679 and D2794, we also provide optional weights in varied radii impactors and 72 and 96 in (183 and 244 cm) drop columns. Features:
