CO2 recovery plants

CO2 is available as one of the ingredients in many gases in industry like boiler / furnace flue gas, generator flue gas, bio-gas in waste treatment plant, fermentor off-gases in distillery OR other fermentation processes, off-gas from calcium carbonate Kiln and so on. The plants which recovers CO2 plant this are termed as CO2 recovery plants.

CO2 generation plants

In absence of above sources of gas, CO2 can be generated by combusting carbonaceous materials like fuel oil, kerosene, diesel, LNG, CNG, LPG, coal and such other fuels.  Heat of combustion is byproduct of such units which may be economically used in producing refrigeration required for liquefying CO2 in large CO2 recovery plants.
