Hinged Expansion Joints We offer a range of hinged expansion joints. This type of expansion joint is designed to permit angular rotation in one plane only and is prevented from deflecting axially either in extension or compression from the rigid hinge hardware. Their hinge mechanism allows them to accept full pressure thrust. In a piping system application, a Hinged Expansion Joint is used in pairs or triplets, or with the Gimbal Expansion Joint. If axial travel is desired for specific applications, it must be clearly stated that the slotted hinge type is required in the design requirement. |

Rectangular Expansion Joints We offer Round Corner Rectangular Metallic Expansion Joints built with a 12" inside radius round corner to eliminate stress risers that exist in the corners of mitered or camera corner rectangular expansion joints. The design of expansion joints is best suited for gas turbine applications as the bellows heat up at a uniform rate for minimum thermal shock. The bellows are insulated externally for maintaining the flue gas equivalent temperature at all times. This minimizes formation of condensate and sulfur based acids in the convolutions. Advantages:

HBM Bellows Expansion Joints We offer a Hot Blast Main Bellows Expansion Joint with temperature 1400 °C made from Incoloy 825 to SB424 UNS NO8825. This type of expansion joint was manufactured for the first time in India for M/s SAIL Rourkela Steel Plant. These are available in size 2200 NB x 1600mm long. Gimbal Expansion Joints Our Gimbal Expansion Joints are similar to the hinge type, except that instead of being limited to deflection in only one plane, it can accept bending or angulation in any plane. The Gimbal Expansion Joint provides the same restraint to axial deflection and pressure thrust as the Hinged Expansion Joint. It has two sets of hinge pins or pivots, the axis of each set perpendicular to the other. Each set is connected to the other with a central Gimbal ring. Pressure Balanced Bellows We offer Pressure Balanced Bellows typically used where a change of direction occurs in a run of piping and pressure thrust to be absorbed. It is a combination of expansion joints. Its purpose is to retain and balance the pressure thrust so that main anchoring of the pipe or adjacent equipment is not required, and forces and movements on attachment flanges of delicate equipment, such as turbines, are kept to acceptably low levels. The deflections to be accepted are handled by the proper type of expansion joint. |
