Bottom Pouring Ladles In the bottom pour ladles, are stopper rod is inserted into a tapping hole in the bottom of the ladle. When the stopper is vertically raised it allows pouring the metal from the bottom of the ladle. Pouring of the metal can be stopped when the stopper rod is inserted back into the drain hole. Large ladles in the steel making industry may use slide gates below the taphole. |

Treatment Ladles Treatment ladles are similar to the tundish method with a covered ladle fitted with a specially design teapot spout. Through the teapot spout the ladle can be filled and emptied which ensure high performance with more compact size. |
