This Direct paddy Seeder is for sowing germinated Paddy seed directly in wetland field. There is no need for transplantation. It is manually pulled implement. It covers 8 rows of 20 cm Row-to row spacing at a time. It is made up of Plastic materials. The shaft and handle are MS steel material.
These baffles also ensure hill dropping of seeds. Each seed drum has two rows of planting. Four such drum scan be assembled to form 8 rows of seed drum as shown the picture. Wheels are provided at both ends.
Four seed drums are assemble together with the square shaft. The handle is meant to pull along.
Note: The purpose behind designing the equipment was shortage of farm laborers and the high costs in hiring them if they were available.
