About Directors |
Samir Gandhi has 21 years of experience in sales, operations and business management, 17 years of which he has spent in the Entrance Automation and Loading Bay Equipment industry.
Currently, Samir Gandhi is Executive Director of Gandhi Automations Pvt Ltd. A Chemical Engineer from prestigious UDCT, Samir Gandhi started his career as a Project Engineer with Gharda Chemicals Ltd.
During his tenure of 5 years at Gharda Chemicals Ltd, he always wondered about automation for material handling of hazardous chemicals. It was his dream to have automated material handling in the industry; automatic doors for men and material movement, ramps & levelers for easy & safe loading/unloading , even though at that time, he did not know how & when it would be possible.
On joining his father’s business of fabrication & engineering in 1995 he got the opportunity to put his thoughts about automatic doors and loading bays in action.
His passion lead him to search for information on entrance automations and loading bay equipment across the globe and he along with his brother Kartik Gandhi visited various factories in Europe. The visit convinced the Gandhi brothers that they had the right idea and they were in the right place at the right time. This resulted in establishing Gandhi Automations in 1996 by Samir Gandhi & Kartik Gandhi.
