TAPER LOCKS are playing a very important role in the field of keyless locking of power transmission equipments such as gear, flywheel, pulley cam etc.


This mechanical element uses the longitudinal motion of the screw which is done by tightening mechanically converts into the radial pressure through the tapered surfaces. This radial pressure causes the material to expand as a result it locks the power transmission members internally as well as externally. The important thing is that here the locking occurs due to friction hence allows the transmission of synchronous motion with high power because here the torque generated by the taper locking elements are very high.

Advantages:

  • The locking action creates the torque which is more than normal keyed hub hence have higher holding power.
  • These locks are economical and the materials used are easily available.
  • When torque exceeds the limit the lock will slip preventing the connected element from being broken Protects from overload.
  • These locks are available at different dimensions hence suitable for various applications.
  • These locks are available at different types and used depending upon the torque requirement.
  • There is no angular, axial, radial play.
  • Perfect alignment is possible, easily adjustable.
  • Minimize notch effect. Avoids fretting corrosion.
  • Since there are no key seats and spline profiles it not only reduces the costs but also reduces the stresses of the attaching members.
  • Allow an accurate and easy radial and axial positioning of the component to be clamped.
  • SELF-CENTERING TAPER LOCKS. In this case there will be a presence of centering effect with the clamping element and the error of concentricity can be considered to 0.025-0.045 mm.
  • TAPER LOCKS has not self-centering effect. Due to this reason, the running accuracy depends on the matching between shaft and hub bore.
  • By performing a centering guide between shaft and hub the running accuracy can be improved

Crane, or mounted on a stainless steel clean room crane.
Low noise levels and low maintenance make Pneumatic Lifts acceptable in a wide range of handling environments.

  • The Main Spindle is duly case hardened & precision ground. Specially designed precision bearing configuration ensures desired running accuracies and rigidity
  • The Alloy steel duplex Worm is of duly case hardened and precision ground.  The worm wheel is made out of Bronze alloy to get the best frictional properties. The Worm wheel and Worm are mounted on specially designed bearing configuration ensuring axis alignment in both axes. Provision is made to adjust backlash after usage if required.
  • Dynamic high pressure special lubricating film in between the Worm and Worm wheel teeth helps in reducing the friction thus increases the life of drive system.
  • Compact housing design facilitates universal mounting of the table i.e. the same table can be used in vertical or horizontal position. Thus versatility of Rotary table is ensured. The housing is made out of high grade cast iron duly stress    relieved and precision machined.
  • Special Dual face clamping area provides higher clamping torque for a given Pneumatic / Hydraulic Pressure. Specially designed clamping surface gives highest clamp force for a given area. This provides maximum cutting moment / forces for a given size of Rotary table.
  • Available with a wide range of attachments for enhanced and effective Utilization of the rotary table.
  • Available in special version to take higher loads. Specially designed for resilience and ruggedness to take both axial and radial loads with ease and precision duly tested system for high reliability and fidelity.
  • The Table is supplied with or without Feed Motor to suit customer requirement. The Feed Motor can be any of the reputed brands like Fanuc/Siemens/Fagor etc. The interfacing of the table with the Machine can be taken up on special request.  
  • General purpose precision Manual Rotary Tables are also available for indexing and continuous rotation. These are provided with DRO for angular measurement and clamping facility.
  • The Manual Rotary Tables can be supplied with Four Jaw face plate for Job clamping as option.
  • The manufacturing range includes fixed indexing tables for 2, 3, 4, 8 & 12 stations. Finer indexing can be provided with 2 or 3 piece face coupling.
