GELCO has designed & developed earth leakage relay based on the ic technology which is a protective device. It protects electrical system from fire and other electrical hazards. The unit is consisting of two part. (a) basic relay (b) core balance current transformer (cbct). Cbct is a sensing device which senses earth leakage current of the electrical system & the small signal generated across cbct's terminal is fed to highly reliable electronic circuit. If earth leakage current exceeds than set value.

It is basically current sensing single phasing preventer which gives total protection to three phase ac electric motor. The basic principle of operation is of sensing negative sequence current components and it trips electric motor starter as soon as it exceeds the dangerous level. This model offers protections upto motor terminals & is undefective to the motor back e.m.f. it is available in two models namely mgr & mgr-c. Both models are bascially same with slight difference in features like under/over voltage protection and inverse time current charactersitic setting.

These models offer total protection against single phasing on supply side as well as motor side. Overloading (inversely time current characteristics) reverse supply, current unbalance & low/high voltage, auto /manual reset provision etc. Is provided. The enclosure is made from high impact polysterene moulded with nylon moulded connection strip. It is available upto 200 amps. Green led indicates spp healthy condition and red led indicates overloading condition. Both models offer single phasing protection even if motor is on no load. It weighs 750 grams approx. And it's overall dimensions are 140 x 100 x 95mm.

GELCO has developed an electronic overload relay based on ic technology. It protects motor against overloading, single phasing and reverse phasing. It gives single phasing protection upto motor terminal. As it is with current sensing single phasing preventer, it is very slim and compact. Ct's are in – built. It is available in various range. Thermal overload relays can be replaced by this electronics overload relay. No separate single phasing preventer is needed. It weighs 510 gms approx. And measures 110mm x 65mm x 85mm approx.

GELCO has developed prodless type pumppro unit which is basically current sensing single phasing which can protect the submersible pumps against overloading, dry running, unbalanced currents, reverse phasing and single phasing up to motor terminal. As it is prodless, it eliminates external sensing prod. With the use of this unit. Bimetallic overload relays and single phasing preventers are not required.

Thus it offers comprehensive protection to submersible pumps and also saves cost by eliminating thermal overload relay, separate single phasing preventer, water level guard and cable for sensor. It is available up to 200 amps. Green led indicates spp healthy condition and red led indicates overloading condition. Auto / manual / remote reset provision is provided for overloading. It weighs 750 grams approx. And measures 140 x 100 x 95mm (overall). Mounting dimensions is 129 x 74mm.

90% of total burn out of the motors are mainly due to overloading caused by unbalanced voltage conditions or phase failure. This fault remains undetected by conventional bimetallic overload relays and need a negative sequence component of voltage or current sensing single phasing preventer. They trip the motor starter if it goes beyond the set level of voltage or current.

GELCO current and voltage sensing SPP offers protection up to motor terminals and does not allow motor to start under unfavorable supply conditions. The negative sequence current sensing is the best principle for single phasing protection.

GELCO automatic Water level controller has been designed to have automatic operation of motor-pump set depending upon the level of liquid in underground as well as overhead tank. When the water reaches below set low level in overhead tank, the unit will switch on the motor pump set automatically. Similarly when the water level reaches to high level in the overhead tank, it will switch off the motor-pump set, provided underground tank is full of water. If water level falls below set low level in underground tank, it will also switch off the motor pump-set though overhead tank is empty. Thus preventing the motor-pump set from dry running. It is available in different models, namely llc1 & llc2. Model llc1 can be used for three phase motors with dol or fasd starters. While model llc2 can be used for single phase motors upto 2 h.p. & model llc25 can be used for single phase subermisble pumps. Model llc1 measures 140 x 95 x 90 mm & weighs 650 grams approx. While model llc2 & llc25 measures 165 x 165 x 85 mm & weighs 1.6 kg approx. Special magnetic sensors can be used for non conductive liquids.
