Tool & Die Engineering is a very highly skilled and specialized profession and requires intricate and precise fitment and machining of jobs with exposure to modern techniques.
A tool engineer is one who knows to produce plastic, sheet metal and die cast components. He should be capable of designing, selecting the correct material and deciding on the manufacturing process of Tools and Dies. He should also be capable of manufacturing the same within the lead time planned.
When all the parts are manufactured, he should be able to assemble the tool or mould and should be capable of machining and fitting the components to a high degree of precision. For this, hand dexterity and practices of filing, lapping etc., come into play. He should be thorough with the testing and trouble shooting procedures. This requires a disciplined and rigorous training programme.
This course has been devised in such a way that each trainee gets ample opportunity to see, learn and practice the trade with relevant theory. GTTI has signed an MOU with IHK, The Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Nurenberg, Germany through Indo-German Chamber of Commerce to conduct the Final examination and award the Diploma in Tool and Die Engineering for the students, besides the Diploma awarded by GTTI. This diploma is recognized all over Europe and other countries.

Polishing Technology in Mold Making:
Aesthetics, function and delivery time play a major role in the global market. As far as Tooling Industry is concerned, all the above three factors are influenced greatly by Mold Polishing, in the Molding arena.
Conventional Mold Polishing consumes a lot of time and human effort with the end result of comparatively a low degree of surface finish, thereby not contributing enough for all the three factors.
But, by following ultra modern Mold Polishing techniques, apart from faster completion of polishing job, productivity is also increased, as the mold release is easier and faster.
