Tubular Electrodes

Charecteristics :

Low heat in-put hard facing tubular electrode having excellent abrasion resistance properties. The tubular electrode deposits fine chromium carbide in tough austenitic matrix. The weld deposit ensures excellent wear resistance on 12-14% manganese steel components as well as on carbon - manganese or low-alloy base metal. 

Typical Application :

I.D.Fan blades, Impeller castings, dredger bucket lips, dragline bucket lips, points and cutting edges, conveyor chains, bulldozer cutting edges, pulverize and crushing hammers, ball mill Liner plates,etc.

Hardness on two layer Deposit : 55-60HRC

Salient Features :

-  Non-hygroscopic Flux coating needs no redrying.

-  The current required is quite low as compared to same dia electrode of solid core wire.  Hence dilution by parent metal is quite low.

-  Higher deposition efficiency - 1kg electrode deposits about 850gm of weld metal as compared to 550 gm of weld metal deposited by solid core electrode.

Charecteristics :

Low heat input hard facing tubular electrode having excellent abrasion resistance under moderate impact in high velocity, fine particle applications in which erosive wear is a major problem. The alloy comprises of complex carbides and borides in hard martensitic matrix. The deposit has element like C, Cr, Mo, B, V.

Typical Application :

Fan blades, Impeller blades, Liner plates Impeller housings, Abrasive slurry mixer etc.

Hardness on two layer Deposit :

59 to 63 RC

Description :

Flux coated tubular electrode containing carbides, which gives low heat input and infinite shelf  life. The electrode deposits fine tungsten carbide embedded in a hard and tough martensitic-austenitic matrix. Suitable for extreme abrasion with low to moderate impact. It resists all forms of abrasion and wear.

Charecteristics :

-  Exceptional resistance to severe abrasion and moderate to heavy impact at low to medium temp.

-  Low spatter level.

-  Unmatched deposition rates-high integrity deposits.

-  Compared to solid cored electrodes, the current requirement is low so the dilution by parent metal is a minimum.

-  Non-hygroscopic coating needs no storage precaution -infinite shelf life

Alloy Base : C, Co, W

Typical Application :

Rock drill bits, oil well drills, sand gravel chutes, coal cutter bits and picks, bulldozer end plates, grader end bits, feed screens, scraper for sand and refractory materials, fan and pump impellers, pug mill augers and knives, choppers, post hole auger teeth, feed screws, mixer blades /paddles etc.

Mechanical Properties of the weld metal (Range) :

HARDNESS: 56 - 63 HRC
