About UsGeetanajali was started three generations back with a view to conserve the rich Indian heritage. We specialize in collecting and restoring colonial furniture from all over south India. Our show room at Pondicherry show cases traditional pieces. It is spread over an area of about 3500 sq ft and is 50 yards from the sea front.
We collect these antique pieces from old houses which are brought down. We would buy almost all the wood work, as well as the Doors, Wooden Pillar and the massive teak beams. Restoration of these pieces are done by us to bring back the original charm of bygone days.
Apart from this, orders are undertaken in making fine colonial furniture by using old wood taken from old houses. The wood taken from these old houses are well seasoned naturally. All this is done at our well equipped restoring work house. We have with us about 60 experienced crafts men who work magic to bring about the old charm of these pieces.
Our show room is well stocked with Colonial furniture like king sized cots, dinning tables, dinning room cabinets, doors, pillars , chairs, dressing tables, commodes, liquor bars, chest of all kinds, desks, diwan, sofas, traditional dowry Chests and cash boxes. We also stock Bronze wares, granite sculptures and wood carvings. Apart from this we also have stocks of Tanjore paintings and glass paintings.
We are also into the export market and our exquisite pieces are show cased world wide. |
