| Pre cleaning process of seeds & grains is first operation to remove large & small impurities from farm produce. Pre cleaning with out aspiration system removes impurities such as stones, leaves, sticks, sand, fine dust etc. If aspiration is used it sucks away light impurities such as leaves, small sticks, fine dust etc. With Pre Cleaner materials can be cleaned at high capacity as it is scalping or rough cleaning operation, widely used before silo storage. |
| Fine cleaning operation involves 3 stage of Cleaning. First Stage: Fine cleaner grader not only removes light impurities & fines, it can also remove light grains such as rotten, immatured, bird eaten etc. Further it also grades product to desired range of size. Second Stage: Destoner is used to remove heavy stones/mud balls/ metals etc. from cleaned & graded product. Third Stage: It bold grains & seeds are required for quality food as for higher germination rate & seeds, gravity separator is must. It separates material by density and hence allows processors to select product of required quality. |
| Oil seeds like sunflower, neem seeds & seeds of cocoa, coffee needs special impact type huller to recover kernels. After hulling Air Classifier is used to separate loose hulls. There after mixture is graded on special multi desk grader to separate whole Kernels broken kernels un hulled seeds etc. some varieties of seeds need one of the following operations to separate kernels before further processing. - De hulling: Sun flower, neem seeds, coffee seeds, cocoa seeds.
- Decorticating Ground nuts.
- Cracking Soybeans.
- De husking: Gram dal, Tuver.
All this operations need different types of machineries depending upon characteristic of seeds cover and kernels. After separation of hulls or husks, separation machineries like air classifier, aspirator columns, pneumatic scalper etc. are used to separate kernels. | In View huge production of potato and onion produces & demand of graded & quality products, it has become necessary to install grading & sorting plant. It also facilitates to weigh & pack bags, ranging from 1 kg to 50 Kg as per demand of market, with installation of electronic weigh-bagger. Sorting of produce is carried out either manually or by automatic electronic sorters to classify produce by size, shape, colour, surface damage, ripening etc. In case of manual sorting, roller conveyors are used in which rollers while carrying the produce rotate the pieces to allow exposure of their all sides of surface. With this type of equipment, mostly all undesired product is separated by trained persons, under proper lighting. Belt conveyors are also used for manual sorting, but they are not as efficient as roller conveyor. In case of electronic sorter, it has conveyor system facilitating passing of each piece under lights and camera, which sense the programmed defects and rejects them by means of pneumatic ejector systems. Normally all size graders are designed to classify produce by diameter or width. However graders for classification by lengths are also available. All these graders use elements like screen mesh, perforated belt, plain rollers, taper rollers, diverging space, traveling chains, rotating rollers, vibratory trays etc., for separating fruits and vegetables to suit size and shape. |

| Health conscious people use packed potatoes or vegetables washed & dried. Hence it is need of the time to make available advanced technological machinery to Indian processors. According to size & shape of vegetables, different type of washers and dryers are used. Generally most of the fruits and vegetables carry dust, dirt, spray residues etc., when harvested. They are cleaned, graded and sorted in dry condition. However root vegetables, in addition, carry soil, mud etc. Hence it is very essential that the product is cleaned off these impurities before it is graded and sorted.
