Global Energy Food Industries is a 100% Export Oriented Unit (E.O.U) based in Gujarat, India. Backed by the latest manufacturing facilities and industry expertise we have developed our core competence in the manufacture, marketing and export of products like : Biscuits, Creams and Confectionery.

Established in 2005, Global Energy Food Industry is a forerunner in the manufacture of biscuit and confectionery in India. Although we are a young organization, we are no novice to the industry. Our Directors bring with them years of rich experience form their previous venture- Kabisco Foods. In order to take Kabisco further as well as to scale new heights in manufacturing Global Energy Food Industry has been set up. Further having successfully run huge export houses of their own, the management are a powerhouse of knowledge regarding international trading rules, regulations and procedures. Global Energy Food Industry (GEFI) has established itself as a leading manufacturer and supplier of branded and own branded (GEFI)biscuits and confectionery to export markets. Initially it only produced Glucose biscuits, its portfolio now includes not only a whole range of other biscuit varieties like Cream biscuits, Bourbons, Nice, Milk and Malt, Milk and Honey but also confectionery products like hard boiled candies and lollypops. Owing to this, it has helped it not only to expand its market share but also to enter and penetrate new export markets.

Our Manufacturing plant, which is over 8500 sq metres, is located in prime Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (G.I.D.C) estate. One of the chief advantages of G.I.D.C. are the accrued “cluster benefits related to raw material, market, technology, common services, linkages etc” (www.gidc.gov.in) besides other benefits like waivering of payment of local taxes and octroi. These ultimately result in lowering the overall expenses which are reflected in lower prices which ultimately benefit the customer. Further we also accrue the benefits of being a 100% Export Oriented unit. (E.O.U.)

Our factory's annual production capacity is over 18,000 tonnes of biscuits and confectionery which we continually endeavor to increase since its efficiency and capability is critical to our success. Therefore through our ongoing investment programme, continuous investment is being made in plant and technology to ensure we obtain maximum returns.

The plant operates for 6 days a week with a workforce of over 150 employees at the helm of the production and packaging processes. Our management philosophy is based on firm foundation with family values whereby dedicated professionals cultivate close working relationships with partners and having having open access to senior management. We believe that if we invest in the development of our people through continous all round training it will show dramatic improvement in our final product. Further our production and packaging personel follow strict quality control measures and product specifications right from the handling of raw materials stage to the packaging of products.

Our ever increasing customer base includes customers from a range of African, Middle East and South East Asian countries. Our dedicated account managers work closely with our customers to ensure that they get nothing but the best. We constantly strive to improve our existing products as well as develop new ones by listening and working closely with our customers. Packaging of Biscuits

Shrink Wrap: Pioneers in using Shrink wrap technology, it only proves our commitment to providing extra value to our customers. While being stuffed into cartons, instead of simply wrapping biscuits into polythene bags, they are shrink wrapped. Since this kind of packing results in biscuits being closely packed together they require smaller cartons. Which ultimately result in more cartons being loaded per container.

Cartons: our made to measure master cartons are designed as per the product they carry. The same package design is used on the carton either in full color printing or single printing depending on customer requirement.

Bar Coding: All the individual packets are bar coded alongwith the cartons which are coded with serial numbers as well as the packaging dates.

Food grade wrapping material: Well being of the end user is also top priority for us. To ensure the same we only use food grade wrappers approved by the FDA. Ordinary wrapping material tends to weather over time and is harmful if the chemical and metal used starts settling onto the product. In food grade wrappers not only is the material more robust but it is absolutely safe. Hence ensuring consumer safety.

Currently our goods are being exported to African, Middle East and South East Asian countries. Every country has its unique requirement- from pricing, packaging to even the flavor of our products. We know the various factors that come into play when exporting- be it the importance of timely deliveries, to choosing ideal shipping lines, to product support. To put it in short- we have it covered.

For example:

• First and most importantly pricing. Being a 100% EOU based in GIDC we enjoy a lot of government incentives which help us in providing customers with highly competitive prices.
• Owing to the diverse markets we reach out, all our packets are inscribed in English, Arabic and French.
• Owing to long periods of transits and sometimes turnaround time, it takes quite a while for the product to actually reach the shelves and consumed by the end buyer. Our recipe ensures that the product has maximum shelf life without compromising on the flavor. On the contrary the flavor of our biscuits improve over time (The flavor of our products reach their peak after three months, after which it depends on external conditions and time period till the product is consumed).
• Since we stuff our containers within our factory premises, we ensure that the container is stuffed to its most efficient capacity. Added to it, already since our products are shrink wrapped and the cartons are made to measure ensuring the container is packed to full capacity, the customer is assured more value for money.
• Long transit times as well as wear and tear from the ports to the final destination results in cartons being damaged. Therefore with every container we stash extra cartons at no extra cost as contingency.
• Due to experience as export houses, we have developed an excellent rapport with various shipping agencies which ensures that our goods sail on time at highly competitive rates.
